Wayne - I forgot to tell you what happened, I saw you put your hands up as if to ask what happened as I drove past in the afternoon with the rescue fourby behind. You didn't see me after the practice sessions as I came off in the first session on the first lap on the first corner and my car was just parked on the infield for the rest of the day until we could retrieve it. I came off in style haha. She's all fixed now (tyres reseated on rims, wheel balance and wheel alignment.)
How embarrassment.
I got into a slide at turn 1 I didn't manage to get out of, got airborne over the ripple strip, landed and spun in the grass. The ripple strip and grass at turn 1 told my tyres to leave the rims
The shit thing is I managed no more than the practice session before that happened on the first f*cking corner and then the car spent the rest of the day on the infield at turn 2/3.
I was wondering where you'd gone Sorry to hear.
Interesting. When I got hit I had it towed to a repairer I chose, they submitted a quote to Just Cars, the inspector came out and okayed it. I didn't need to take it anywhere else.
This was in '05 though.
It was great for the 6 practice laps I did before coming off No rain, just windy and cold.
Thanks to the crew that helped me get the car moving, Martin for his space saver, Mick for his space saver and Escort dude for his jack
Pimpin' ain't easy:
Definitely sounds like a vacuum leak. A good way to check without a smoke machine that mechanics use it to make up a solution of soapy water, put it over cooler pipes and vacuum hoses and look for bubbles.
