  1. Looks great again
  2. The exhaust place (Ace in Ringwood) I use will tell you if it won't pass a test before you fork out for a noise test. They're also an approved tester. http://www.aceexhausts.com.au/acehome.html
  3. You do realise you can cop defects for other items whilst driving during the period you have to fix up the car

    Hi Guys

Good man. That's the right attitude to have. To give you some idea of why it's not great to pour all the money you have into cars - I've been working full time for ~6 years and I have one heavily modified car, one fairly stock car and a loan hanging over my head. The cars are all I have to show for it.

    Hi Guys

This isn't a useless thread, don't shoot a guy down for asking a legitimate question Best advice, ever.
  7. Registration cost varies dependant on the suburb. It has nothing to do with the car you drive like in other countries. Mine was $598 this year, yours would be about the same in Blackburn. Welcome mate.
  8. Pulsar got some Defi's: Night time pics: And here's a video of the start-up sequence: Daytime pics: May as well update with some vids from DECA at the end of Feb, I had a ball: http://decafeb09.racemeets.net/external/Sk...15%20pulsar.wmv (9.58mb) (slow because it was my first time out). http://decafeb09.racemeets.net/external/Sk...%20n15%20x2.wmv (9.28mb) (again slow because I'm new at it. It's still not as slow as it looks on video.) http://decafeb09.racemeets.net/external/Ba...15%20pulsar.wmv (5.75mb) (faster) http://decafeb09.racemeets.net/external/Sk...15%20pulsar.wmv (10.7mb) (lots of flutters, this was my favourite course.) All of the videos are viewable here: http://decafeb09.racemeets.net There were more runs but they weren't all video'ed. Enjoy.

    Query =)

To the first question - no, and it sounds like they should be watching you. To the second question - of course they can.
  15. I think you'll find he can't drive his car to go and get it.
  16. Why does you guys have to publicise every time you pick up?

  18. You're shit Ash, it bounced. I'll try the new number.
  19. White 4-door R32 turning at the Dorset Road/Exeter Road/Maroondah Hwy intersection about 2:45pm today. Looked nice
  20. Looked at an N15 SSS for a friend recently. "Has this car ever been modified?" "No." "errrr...okay. Well it's got a painted rocker cover, pod, lowered springs." "Has this car ever been in an accident?" "No." "errrr...well one entire half of the car has been resprayed and it's missing plastic trims. No thanks." It wasn't the cheapest on the market either, unfortunately some people wouldn't read as far into things and believe the seller.
  21. This guy speaks the truth, nothing else needs to be said. I have a DT Panels respray. For the price I paid it is good. I could have had better, but not for the money I paid. I also didn't want to go all out only to damage it later anyway. In the two years since it resprayed I've scratched the rear bar carrying a full exhaust in the car, idiots have added new car park dings where I'd previously had them all removed and a mechanic took a chunk out of my front lip. And the car would be lucky to see one days use a week. No matter how much you try to keep things neat, someone will always f*ck it up for you.
  22. Mine hasn't bounced back.
  23. Yes they do, there is a secure lock-up off site. Only their parts cars/wrecks are left out at night because they don't care what happens to them.
  24. Sweeeeeeeeeeet.

    Advice Needed

FWD's are ftw BS. My dad's owned his 2001 Magna since 2003, so he's had it 6 years now. He hasn't had to replace anything, just kept up with services. It's absolutely perfect mechanically, still has the stock clutch and doesn't sniff at towing a reasonable sized boat. Prior to that he had a 1993 Magna up until 2001. Again, nothing ever needed replacing. It's the history, not the car that'll determine whether it's a lemon. Both of my dad's cars have been faultless. They're the type of car people neglect and run into the ground, so of course you'll find shitty examples.
