My dad's owned his 2001 Magna since 2003, so he's had it 6 years now. He hasn't had to replace anything, just kept up with services. It's absolutely perfect mechanically, still has the stock clutch and doesn't sniff at towing a reasonable sized boat. Prior to that he had a 1993 Magna up until 2001. Again, nothing ever needed replacing.
It's the history, not the car that'll determine whether it's a lemon. Both of my dad's cars have been faultless. They're the type of car people neglect and run into the ground, so of course you'll find shitty examples.
