  1. I am insured through Shannons, I'm 24 with a very clean record. I've been insured with them since 22. Agreed value on both cars, premium is a little more expensive than Just Cars but I have the total loss salvage option on my Pulsar so in the event it's written off I keep the car for free (minus excess if I'm at fault.) They cover absolutely everything on both of my cars. It was a little difficult to get insurance with them at first (no garage), but perseverance paid off. They actually scouted me when I had my Pulsar at Autosalon in 2006, then rung me, and the guy who initially signed me up was extremely familiar with my car. I didn't really have to prove I was a car enthusiast, they knew my car. Neither of my cars are considered high theft risks, interestingly enough. Premium on the Pulsar is $1100 (limited use cover - max. 2 days per week) Premium on the Skyline is $1200 (daily use cover) I'm also in the highest category of risk suburb, so it's quite reasonable.
  2. New pics of the Skyline:
  3. Red R32 with gold meshy rims and blue R32 (can't remember details as it was late and I was tired) both refueling at Ring Road Maccas/BP inbound. You may have seen me rock up in my R34 with 20+ Pulsars and ~10 other random cars
  4. Nope, white N15 Pulsar sedan, black bonnet, big FMIC. I always see him in my area, how strange.
  5. Well, I haven't updated much progress on the Pulsar. Mainly because I've been frustrated. But maybe things are looking up. There's a number of things I can't discuss online but I am getting closer to putting in place steps to resolve them. In a nutshell I have had transmission problems on and off for 4 months, stemming back to damage caused to the transmission earlier this year. I am expecting the car back next week, and the transmission to be 100%. It can then go back to Sam (Dr Drift) for a check on the tune, which is where it was the last time the transmission decided to let go. Didn't even manage to get on the rollers Also learnt something new, if the car's moved around and just left to idle too often it'll foul plugs and the car won't start  Thanks Sam for the advice. So, what have I got planned? Get the tune checked out, install the Defi gauges I purchased (pics in my intro thread), some Bridgestone Adrenalin tyres for the rear (to match the front) and then try to enjoy the car for how it is.
  6. I think it lives around Ringwood. I see it all the time around this area. I gave it a little fang against it once in the Pulsar, maybe he was having a bad day but it seemed a bit slow (or just stock)
  7. Candy Red R32 coupe with a largish squarish kit (Uras maybe? not entirely familiar.) Stalled and held me up turning on Bayswater Road from Canterbury Road about 5:15pm tonight
  8. I would never have the heart to strip it. There's hundreds of hours of work and too much that would just not sell for enough money to make it even near worth it. And it'd be such a huge shame, it's setup really well I couldn't bare to see it a shade of it's former self. To be honest, I'm thinking of taking it off the market. It's not the right time (the market's dead for this sort of car) and well...I don't think I can let go of it. Me and the old girl have too much history. But I'll leave it up for sale for a couple more weeks incase I get indecisive again.
  9. Yeah I know. Just kinda want to take my mind off things for a while. Nothing's final
  10. You'll pay for that one next time
  11. Nepean Hwy. Not a good place for a modified car. Cops out in force and defecting regularly, particularly during the warmer months. Some of the roads out the back of Healesville (not through the Black Spur, through the other side of Healesville) are awesome but they’re likely to make you a bit carsick. No straights, all corners.
  12. No worries mate, appreciate the kind words and never say no to a free bump
  13. Friday night we had a meet
  14. I'll come, shall be my first one
  15. Shittiest service ever, but the food was okay so it was excusable
  16. hmmm um...I didn't think I drove all the way home from the meet to my house with it there, surely not. If so, my windscreen wipers did a good job holding it down.
  17. I knew that'd happen when he repeated back "duck on rice" and no-one corrected him
  18. haha, so who SAU carded my car this morning at my house? Also, spotted a R32 coupe (couldn't see if it was a GT-R or not) with what looked light a white carbon fiber vented bonnet. Turned out of Beaufort Road next to Burnt Bridge in North Ringwood.
  19. They didn't really get half a duck each though, or if they did it was a really small duck
  20. Awesome meet, food then chat for those that didn't leave the carpark. Thanks for the great company
  21. *sigh*
  22. Don't be scared, we don't bite
  23. It is definitely ftw. Banana cake that is.
