  2. Don't know if it's already been mentioned, but I found a document by accident and though it might be useful: http://epanote2.epa.vic.gov.au/EPA/Publica...;FILE/317.1.pdf States how your car is noise tested by the EPA and what RPM it is tested at. It doesn't include all cars.

  4. Thanks. The Pulsar's got a few more mods since I last posted (Z32 AFM, Nismo 740cc injectors, another remap and more boost.) The R34 hasn't changed much
  5. Item: Metal intake pipe suit SR20DE+T/DET Pulsar - SOLD - pending payment
  6. Good. I read all the shit that was posted, read like an MSN convo with about the same level of maturity as the average one.
  7. I've never been hassled in either car, and they're not exactly inconspicuous. This point has been done to death, drive like a normal person and you're less likely to be hassled - regardless of gender. Good luck to anyone that can tell I'm female through the dark rear glass.
  8. Well yes. If you've got illegal mods and you don't feel like changing them back to stock and/or minor problems such as oil leaks and don't want to fix them for a RWC then it's a wise move to keep the car registered. I had my car registered for 1.5 years when it barely saw sunlight and sat in a garage.
  9. Item: JDM S15 Ball Bearing T28 Turbo Location: Croydon, VIC. Website: N/A Item Condition: Good. Has never blown smoke, minimal shaft play. Boosts well. Reason for selling: Upgraded Price and price conditions: $500 not neg. Extra Info: Postage via courier at buyers expense - $15, or pickup. Pictures: Item: Metal intake pipe suit SR20DE+T/DET Pulsar Location: Croydon, VIC. Website: N/A Item Condition: Good, could do with being re-painted. It consists of 2x mandrel stainless steel bends and a separate section for plumbing your BOV, rocker cover/PCV breather and manifold line into just before the AFM. Reason for selling: Too big for a Z32 AFM. Price and price conditions: $80 ono Extra Info: Suits an Avenir/Bluebird AFM. You may need to buy an appropriately sized silicon reducer at the other end to suit your turbo. This pipe brings the pod filter into position near the factory holes in the passenger side guard. The 'S' section is 13.5cm end to end. The separate plumb-back pipe is 10cm. The 'S' section is 2.5" in diameter. Postage via courier at buyer's expense - $15, or pickup. Pictures: Installed: Item: K&N re-oilable/re-usable inverted Pod Filter Location: Croydon, VIC. Website: http://www.knfilters.com/ Item Condition: Only used for ~2,000km. Would not need to re-oiled yet. A few little dented bits, does not effect filtering. Reason for selling: Changed to non-oiled type. Price and price conditions: $40 ono. Extra Info: Very good for small pod boxes. Postage via courier at buyer's expense - $15, or pickup. Pictures: Item: Pod Filter Adapter Location: Croydon, VIC. Website: N/A Item Condition: Excellent. Reason for selling: Changed from an Avenir to a Z32 AFM, doesn't fit. Price and price conditions: $5 not neg. Extra Info: Postage via courier at buyer's expense - $15, or pickup. Pictures: Item: Vacuum Lines Location: Croydon, VIC. Website: N/A Item Condition: Excellent. Reason for selling: Used other vacuum lines for my boost controller solenoid. One comes with an in-line filter. Price and price conditions: $10 not neg. Extra Info: Postage via courier at buyer's expense - $15, or pickup. Pictures:
  10. That's Robzilla, previously had a turbo Bluebird.
  11. Happy Birthday! 21 is not old.
  12. The R31 has been sold...wooooooot!
  13. I have no idea how anyone finds a stock Skyline hard to drive. I come from a turbo FWD background which I can guarantee you is quite a handful to drive and I've never lost it in a turbo FWD (except for on a track), nor an N/A or Turbo RWD :laughing-smiley-014: I'm not professing to be the worlds most fantastic driver either. Common sense and driving to the conditions is all it comes down to. Good tyres and suspension help I've owned two stock R31's, both would wheelspin and do standstills at inappropriate times (ie. stopped in a middle turning lane on a highway waiting to turn 90' into a street.) You adapt, you ease your foot onto the throttle more gently - problem solved. Car under/oversteers - you learn from the first time and don't take corners that fast/under lots of throttle - problem solved. The car is skatey in wet weather - drive slower, problem solved. The R34 is lovely to drive. It's rained quite a bit and I'm still yet to loose traction. Do some advanced driving courses, they'll teach you a lot about how a car will react in a given scenario.
  14. Sounds good, I'll be there.
  15. Win win situation, glad to hear it worked out for you
  16. Yes, SR20DE. He linked to a boring Ti, a SSS is not ugly. This is an example of a nice SSS (or was until it was written off, excuse the FMIC): http://img238.imageshack.us/my.php?image=image001zh3.jpg http://img238.imageshack.us/my.php?image=image003hy7.jpg Can't link from Imageshack for some reason.
  17. ^^^They still fetch ~$10K, there's not many around.
  18. No Australian-delivered N14 (Aus-built and Jap-built) or N15 had VLSD, they're all open diff. Overseas various models (including SR18DE, SR20DE, SR16VE & SR20VE-powered cars) came with VLSD boxes, they all fit an SR20DE-powered N14 or N15. If you want one make sure you get matching driveshafts or you're screwed. They're shorter ratio and good for extracting some extra acceleration. The car will rev higher at freeway speed, only big disadvantage. Oh, and the VLSD is entirely useless with any decent power. Get a Nismo mechanical LSD. There's nothing better And for reference the N14 does handle better than the N15, but the N15 is otherwise the more reliable, newer option. The N14 has IRS whereas the N15 has a rear beam axle.
  19. This man had a good suggestion. An N14/N15 SSS is pretty quick, handles well, has reasonable carry space, is easy to park, is fairly good on fuel and looks good. Only thing to watch out for is the insurance price for a young driver They are quicker than an SR20DE S13.
  20. hmmm...I have my TCS (Traction Control) on/off switch there. I can't see an AT/SNOW button. Must be only the N/A's that got Snow mode, my turbo R34 has TCS instead.
