I was hoping for a more serious answer than that. I know what Noble Park is like...I was there when the riot happened. Guess I was asking, do cops normally turn up to SAU meets? Being that I've never been I'm a little cautious.

Is there likely to be much cop attention?

Gt Auto Imports Croydon
llama_au replied to trel's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
Hi Wayne!!! Big ups for GT Auto, sad that Wayne is getting out of it. Thanks for all your help with my R34 Also, I can't say enough about Ben at J-spec, he's put up with my constant emailing for a few months. Great guy -
I got my R34 GTT Sedan on the road for $15K. It's a 1998 model. Reasonable km's, a small amount of tasteful mods, immaculate bar a couple of paint macthing issues on the rear end (it's been de-winged) and the most spotless interior of any 10 year old car ever. It's just freakin' immaculate. It was well worth the wait.

Beeping Noise When Key Is Left In Ignition?

Same. Where is the reverse beep coming from? First time I jumped in the car I'm like wtf? I'm not backing up a truck R34 btw. -
Stage 2 Shift Kit - Knox Automatics!

Sorry to dig up the topic. I'm really new to my R34 so excuse the noob question. When manually changing gears it's quite laggy, it seems to wait until it thinks it's appropriate to shift. Is this pretty normal? Is it waiting for me to take my foot off throttle slightly? Not sure what to expect, never had a tiptronic style trans before. -
The insurance part is rubbish. I'm 23 with an R34 GTT and Turbo N15 Pulsar insured for roughly the same amount each (a bit over a grand.) You should have no trouble with insurance at 27 provided you have a good record. I've just got my R34 GTT sedan on the road, it's such a beautiful car to drive, so effortless. Lovely cruiser. Thumbs up from me You have to be kidding? There's a lot of car for the money.

I like the 300c... I do feel like gouging my eyes out if I see a Hyundai Coupe however.

Just some pics from tonight. They're a little dark. Speedhumps are a big issue *see exhaust pic* -

Well...I didn't pass the rego inspection the first time. But then I changed something, went back and just passed it I was panicking for a while, it failed on ride height. The engine splash guard was too low, with that removed it just cleared *phew* Car is now on the road and registered. The white wheels and 3" exhaust will be sitting pretty on it tomorrow -
haha, yeah. They nearly all say that

I did give it a very quick wash today and used some Meguiars Cleaner Wax on the major stains. It already looks 100% better. I didn't do the whole car, just the bad parts. I'll leave it to a professional to do the whole car. The interior though is absolutely spotless, no-one needs to touch it. For another few km's of driving today (to the petrol station/car wash) it was awesome, I'm hanging out so bad So...new photos I'm stealing your streets. Haven't quite worked out how to drive three cars at once yet  -
I'm a 23 year old female with a Rating 1, I've got an R34 GT-T (no extensive mods) insured for $1200 and an N15 Pulsar (with very extensive mods) insured for $1100 both Full Comp with Shannons. Excess is $900 on either car. They will insure every mod on the car (regardless of legality, provided it isn't unsafe and doesn't cause an accident.) On my Pulsar they insure my turbo upgrade, 3 induction mods, boost controller, coilovers...the list goes on. They will happily cover anything on the car. I also have the 'Total Loss Salvage' option so if anything were to happen and it was written off I'd keep the car at no charge (minus excess, of course.) They insure both cars for a reasonable amount. And that's good...considering I can't garage either car and I'm under 25. If you prove you're a car enthusiast they'll be interested in insuring you. It also depends on who you speak to. I now have a rep who emails me to make sure everything's okay and update. It's nice. On the other hand my partner is 24 with a Rating 1 and they won't insure his S15... I wouldn't touch Just Cars again, was only with them as long as I could hold out for insurance elsewhere.

I got to drive it for a whole 2km to my house today. It was lovely for those two km's though. And called RACV to replace the battery, it didn't even have enough charge to make the starter motor click. All replaced and running, pity I can't drive it until mid next week, except to put fuel in it and wash it tomorrow Booked in for the rego inspection on Wednesday, compliance went well - just took a little longer than I expected. First impressions; the driver's area is smaller than the Pulsar and it has interesting viewing angles...I'll need to get used to them. It beeps in reverse...hehe. The DVD screen comes out every time you turn on the ignition and all the manuals are in Japanese...grrrr. They left the flare in the car...yay I didn't find anything else of interest. The engine bay is so filthy you can't even see that the car is white underneath all of that. It otherwise looks very neat and has little Japanese service stickers stuck to random parts in the engine bay. The interior is absolutely immaculate, the boot looks like it's never carried anything in it's life. The only things I'm disappointed about are the some panels on the rear end aren't even close to the stock colour. It appears that the tail lights, bootlid, rear pods and rear bar have all been sprayed independently and none even match each other let alone the rest of the car. That annoys me so I'll probably fix it. I have to respray the bootlid anyway to get rid of two rust bubbles where the spoiler holes were welded. The rear pods are also falling off...but I knew that. It just has effortless power and you don't even feel the Auto change gears. I heart it so much Firstly...I must start these pictures off by excusing how dirty the car is. I'm imagining it's around 1 years accumulated dust, salt, etc. The wheels and exhaust on it are the compliance items, they're not staying. Sick carbon fibre pillar stickers (hmmm ) and uber-dark tints...with a comparison to the fronts: Proof of how dirty it is: -

It's f*cken hooooorrrrrrrrn. I saw it at the motorshow today. Wheels are awesome and the tail light design has segmented illumination. It's really hard to describe but looks great up close.
