  1. She posted a before pic if you do want to see it. Lucky you were there!
  2. Has working Pulsar in my garage
  3. This is an event hey?
  4. Yep, no capital gain in modifying the average modern car. That love fades eventually though. Night world.
  5. I'm about to list said car that I won that trophy in for sale, I've owned the car for 9 years now. Makes me a bit sad, so many good and bad memories in that car and it's probably the most recognisable of it's model in the world now as it's been plastered all over the net. Shame I had to part it and make it a lot more stock to recoup any money, it's nothing like it was, only cosmetically similar to how it was now.
  6. I miss those days. For all the crap Autosalon got I loved attending the show and reading the magazine. Hell I've even been to Japan twice for Tokyo Autosalon. On that note 2009 was brilliant, 2010 was smaller and disappointing - too many trader stands and not as many cars. You could see it going downhill even over there. I know there's no point in dwelling on the past but the car scene was it's best in Australia (in my driving life at least) between 2002-2006, then people got less and less interested. Huge 400 cars meets, mega cruises, great atmosphere and people, minimal police attention. Those were the days, wish I could go back
  7. I only ever entered Autosalon 2006, even got a trophy for my efforts which I had never expected. Was a great weekend
  8. I have spares, shame they won't fit your car.
  9. Might pop past for a look.
  10. Wish it was longer.
  11. I had that happen a lot as a kid, it involved dying in a car. Great.

Until you've had kids I suppose, then you can get a midlife crisis car, or earlier
  13. I'm not coming but thought I'd give you the heads-up that Doncaster Shopping Town don't take kindly to meets in their carparks. I've been there and been kicked out twice when everyone was being well behaved.

You're getting out of the car scene?
  15. Wow, and you joined up just to bump an old thread. You seem so genuine
  16. Mine wasn't legal (I got EPA'ed, rest of the car stock), then again I had removed the centre resonator.
  17. No-one will touch you Mo
  18. We tend to clear a 40footer within 20 minutes of receiving it then the driver can drive back with his empty container. It helps that the product I sell rolls out of a container though
  19. Shannons ftw
  20. PS. my op was over $2000, but that's because I chose to have it under a general. No private health insurance at the time so I didn't see much of that back. You couldn't be awake for having 4 out. How many are you planning to have out?
  21. I got all four taken out at once under a general, felt great when I woke up. Blood drooling out my mouth on the car trip home, bandage with icepack wrapped around my head. Had a huge meal, then the anasthetic began to wear off and the pain was f*cking terrible. Not even the strongest painkiller helped in the 3-4 days proceeding that, coupled with the fact that my jaw had locked up and I could only open my mouth about a centimeter. Puffed up and bruised face, liquid diet for about two weeks (losing a bit of weight is a good side-effect.) Stitches desolved after about 2-3 weeks, holes closed over completely in about a year. All in all, so glad I got them out. Put up with years of pain. Now, nothing. Do it.
  22. That idea has been floated before. I don't necessarily think it's the best idea but the day is always short on volunteers as people come up to watch the spectacle (for free) and have no intent on ever helping. Maybe charging for spectator entry would be a good idea.
  23. That's a shithouse attitude. DECA isn't run for the spectators, get your mates to volunteer.
  24. Actually it did it 4 times. Stupid SAU proxy error.
