How small is small? Hehe, down for one or two

My car started doing it this morning, only as it got closer to operating temperature. Noticed when taking off from a standing start it was ridiculously hard to get moving. Tried tiptronic mode, no go, wouldn't respond to my changes at all. Eventually deduced it was stuck in third. Turned the car off, started it again and the A/T warning light on the dash flashed but it drove okay. Started it again later in the day, again drove fine for about 15 mins, pulled up to a set of lights - stuck in third again. Turn the car off and then on again, A/T warning light on the dash flashing. It's really sudden, there was nothing leading up to this happening. Reading this thread, I'm getting worried as not everyone's sorted their problems out...

I've had to pull out of competing, so I'm putting my hand up for skidpan hat removalist or something related to skidpan if possible

I agree. I was at the Noble Park riots going back a few years ago. Was I there watching burnouts? Yes. Did I take part in the damage to police cars, taxis, etc.? Absolutely not. When that started happening I had no way of safely leaving without having my car damaged because I was parked in the middle of it. I think banning him from the club for being in the vicinity at the time (we'll assume he was spectating) is a little harsh. I doubt anyone watching including the police took notice of the little sticker. Up until a couple a few years ago I can say that I did spectate at things like this, but the majority of people grow out of that phase (myself included.) He made a mistake and is copping a fine for it. You would hope this was a learning experience for him.

Fair call, look 'cheap' probably wasn't the best word - reasonable given the condition would be more accurate. I'm not out to low-ball people here so show me what you've got.

errrr...then drive normally? I've had one speeding fine in 6.5 years of driving and that can't just be luck as I drive a lot.
