  1. 7.26 is a nice time mate, good one but i know u can crack into the 6 sec zone, gotta lighten your load ive got the audio gear in the boot too so yeah ahhaahha
  2. i went for jap, because im a bit paranoid about making sure i get some power from the exhaust. nothing in life is certain, but at least using jap settles my nerves a bit. any way, i bought a 2nd hand jap cat for a good deal off a mate. If i had a turbo, i wouldnt worrry as much about where to get my exhaust done. currently, i have on a 2 3/4" 5zigen, it has a muffler as big as the stock muffler, one resonator. 3.5-4" tip. very nice grumble while driving along, dead shit quiet after 3000rpm and at idle. drony at 1900rpm-2900rpm power seems to pick up well at about 4000rpm, it took me awhile to get used to the noise but i love it !
  3. my bad =) But....some rb25de's had some sort of variable cam timing? not mine however
  4. this is not the car sale section if someone here was looking at purchasing a damn turbo car, we would look in the 4 sale car section.
  5. it would depend on how much boost you would want to run if its something around 7/8 psi, then i wouldnt consider a lowering the compression.
  6. basicallly your looking at 142kw at the engine for any RB25DE, 2.5L engine thats not neo(r34) the R34 RB25DE made about 147kw at the engine, some ecu changes and a dual inlet throttle settle nets the extra power.
  7. good work Ryan D How much did the products cost ya mate?
  8. i see, interesting to know, thanks for the input mate.
  9. well exactly like funky said, but it all cost money and by the time you get enuff money for all this, buy a gtr instead
  10. I need to know where in sydney, can someone regrind my camshafts to provide for mumbo. The alternative is to buy a set of aftermarket camshafts, and sell off the stock ones. I think the turbo guys can use our camshafts for better breathing, so selling the stock ones shouldnt be too hard. if i can somehow learn to remove and install the camshafts...then this may well be a worth while modification. Side effects: more power and a lumpy and grumpy idle. Less lower end torque as well possibly im willing to live with this
  11. yes, what are your reasons for doing such a conversion? iif its wheels, then im sure eventually u will find some nice bigger wheels.
  12. patience my non turbo friend we will have our day in sun
  13. high beam at the same time as low? has any one thought of the legal side effects? or is this meant to be used when in HIgh beam situation?
  14. 100rwkw is about right for our cars 2.5L that is but its only a tuning aid, no need to get fussed over if one dyno reads lower or higher then another. =) ehaust is in, sounds ok, boomy but nothing unexpected. seems to lose a bit of revs as changes gear at redline. maybe 200-250rpm? from before?
  15. just fitted some new treads on my wheels i have on my gts 17x8's all round with 235 45 r17 w93, silverstone wheels, cheapo brand but yeh not sure about the offset of the wheel, but thers still some room for wider wheels and treads
  16. done in shoot out mode i see but sounds spot on for a stocko. on a different topic, i just got my 5zigen cat back, ill install it 2morrow it is 2 3/4", little bit big, hopefully it isnt too loud, the muffler is quite big and it had a resonator too
  17. if u do consider supercharge the car will be be more like a 4.0L aussie six plenty of torque and power, but power wont peak that high in the rev range as our cars currently do. u can get SC that can rev and stay someone efficient at the higher revs, but it also cost money
  18. ive found Ca18 turbos cars rather fun and easy to race against. easier to beat then you may think
  19. saw ya parked at cabra on the weekend swoop damn parking was shit....or were you attending mass? hehehe
  20. on my petrol cap, there was a mobil one sticker, so i used that. but at the moment, shell fully synthetic is in. Rb25de likes to rev hard, so i wouldnt used anything less then synthetic, but semi syntheic would be okay i guess
  21. i havnt got one, but it is next on the shopping list. i would be happy to see something like 5-10 rwkw from it
  22. damn thats alot of crap to do sounds like a nitemare
  23. maybe this device can be applied to our aftermarket exhausts? an incar manual control would be handy in case of defect stations etc. also to control the decibles levels inside the car.
  24. u may find that the vp's are actually lighter then the r33, or at least on level terms.
