That cop in Terrigal was very cool, no troubles what soever, actually it was pretty funny when he came up to us, because at the time, there were those typical idiots doing burnouts, and he to ask us about them, and told us what happened to them when they sped off Burn outs in carpark -> fender bender -> speeding off -> busting gearbox busting his box in front of all of us, priceless.

buy a front cut with manual box. swap engines ,electrics, and brakes. sell GTS front cut to a silvia owner or something.

Power Neo (magnetic fuel device) interesting read...
Nismodified replied to Greg's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
um, well top fuel is quite a prominant company in Japan, but this product, and the theory behind it confuses me. by using a magnetic field, the fuel molecules are rearranged into a better molecular structure, which is meant to improve efficiency of combustion. I always though that hydrocarbons are non-polar, neutral in stucture with no overall polarity, and thus i cannot see how a magnet can affect it then. But i did not come across any specific figures in terms of power/torque gains, or figures to show improved exhaust emissions. interesting by all means, but for any of us to really take it seriously, some harder proof is needed. -
i use premium unleaded, which is about 95 octane. Sometimes i use synergy8000, bp ultimate but i find that some petrol stations mark up the 98 octane fuels in price too much. never use ULP, but that is my opinion only. the difference between each of the 98 octane fuel is, the sort of additves the company mixes to the petrol to increase the octane. Best thing to do is, do a search of local petrol stations, test each place out for a couple of tanks, you will find some fuels are better then others. the quality can be largly affected by how dodgy a particular station is etc..

anyone had there 100,000klm service yet???
Nismodified replied to ninjadust's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
along with the timing belt, there are two other belts that would be avisable to do as well, while the timing belt is been changed. these are not expensive, 10-15 for each belt i guess. -
chipping it is definatly worth it ! there are many ways to get the chip effect, without pay loads of money for un-needed expensive ecu's. 2nd hand apex'i SAFC's are very good value imo. for the mods, your are making it breath better, and you will be fine. The car has an awesome engine and exhaust note, with screaming top end. welcome and enjoy.

does APEXi make Power FC for RB25DE?
Nismodified replied to mmmskyline's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
i think the stock CR for a turbo is 9.5:1, stock is 10:1, as said by skyla. and yes, it is a fairly big difference, responsiveness is affected. Think of a turbo car in its lag range, thats what it would be like. SOrry to go off topic, but can you give us any information about your tomei cams likes cost, dyno sheets, the impressive it made on you etc.. -
Rims for R33 gts series 1??? 4 stud?
Nismodified replied to jacko's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
yes. Pitch circle diametre is 114.3, just like the s13 silvias -
its adjustable, for the sake of reducing exhaust noise to desired levels. perhaps that was the noise that they were trying to reduce? My exhaust never made any of those noises at all.

94, and mine has 5 seat belts. anyone know the stats for the R33 skylines from nissan brochers etc..? im am very interested on the results of this. If the middle bump was just a divider, wouldnt they make it a little higher to be used as an arm rest?

id suggest selling the stereo components seperatley as you will not get decent value for them been sold with the car. The system is personalised to you and sounds like a nice setup, but a potential buyer might not see it the same way. But you could be lucky and find someone after exactly what you have. seperate the tv and xbox, CD player in the car always heaps to sell though.

Awesome buy. You may find that you lose some low-midrange torque while the engine is in NA form, since the new plenum does not have the cross over pipe with those primary runners on the intake. Sounds like a very cool setup, would be interesting to see how the power curve changes.

rb25de -----> rb25de-t & introduction
Nismodified replied to 95silvia's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
i think it would work. The question is of reliability of course. If you stick to using low boost levels, 5-7psi, then you could get away without lowering the compression. I hope you were talking about using a stock RB25T ecu, because i dont think the Non turbo ecu is up for the task. -
A question i have though, if a person is involved in a carjacking where life is at risk, and you do have full insurance...would handing the keys over to avoid harm result in voiding your insurance? i mean, technically, your handing your keys away, im sure some insurance companies will see it this way, and would be nearly as bad as the car jackers themselves.

Ultimate Street Car Challenge Report by Sean Morris.
Nismodified replied to Merli's topic in General Automotive Discussion
They are trying to push the skyline GTR envelope in america. They mite not do things the best of ways but at least they are learning from it. Just one more thing that they know wont work. Pretty soon Sean and his mates will take the Uscc title, with 'domination', and good on them for their efforts up to this point. -
effects of lowering the skyline
Nismodified replied to Greg's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
going too low on the R33 will reak havoc on the rear geometry of the car. Each car will respond differently, but dont be suprised if you get a big difference in camber. Whileline dont lower cars that much, and i have the impression that they know their shit ! For your case 25-30 mm, i wouldnt worry, as long as the springs are reasonably matched to the current shocks....and keep us Na guys updated of your results dude ! -
Hicas comes on every 15.7 k's
Nismodified replied to ricknismo's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
can anyone elborate further or confirm Demon Dave's worrds (not that i doubt them)? -
142Kw is stock. there are versions that come with 147kw. extractors, would not provide a great increase in maximum power output, but rather widen the torque range producing a larger power range. Very worth while from the results that quite a few members of this forum. with extractors, you will be faster in and out of traffic, somewhat faster in a straightline. If your after numbers, 5-10 rwkw would be a ball park fugure.

the rear wheels are from S13 silvias, but those pictured are painted black.
