I was cruising in my 33 GTR in 5th gear at about 2500RPM and my G Reddy boost guage gave me a spike warning and flashing red warning light. I didnt think much of it, but it happened again bout a half hour later. Anybody tell me if this is something to worry about, or if it's more likely just a fault. It's never happened before and the car wasn't even in positive boost at the time it came up.

HI. I was just wandering if what I have found is a big problem or a small problem that is going to be big if I don't take action. I took off my Apexi air filters off my 33 GTR to give them a clean and found a small pool of oil sitting on the lip of one of he hoses coming from the front turbo. It is a tiny amount but enough to pool up and I know oil isn't supposed to be there. If anybody could give me a possibility as to what this could be caused from, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks for that Richo makes me glad of the decision I made, I forwarded that link to the guy at the tyre place, he found it interesting and was glad we didnt go staggered either, now he knows not to recommend it to anyone with GTR's Got 245's put on all round, thanks for the help peeps, appreciate it. Now to the rotors and brakes to get replaced.

I wouldnt put my house on it but I think the offset of the rims was +20, does that sound right??

Ok point noted and taken on board. I dunno why on a GTR, they were just carrying on about staggered setup. I will just stick with 245 all round then. Cheers Again.

sorry I thought I corrected my post, but it seems I have posted a whole new post again. The rims are 18x9 all round. The tyre shops I went to told me I could go bigger on the back 275 and smaller on the front 235 and apparently with those tyres they still have the sam rolling diameter, HOW I have no idea. Cheers.

I am buying 4 new tyres and have 18' rims. Can someone tell me what is the biggest tyre I can go all round on a 33 gtr please.I have standard suspension.I am confused by some things the tyre places have told me about going bigger on the rear etc, despite me telling them I heard it wasn't a good idea cause of the attessa awd. But a couple places reckon it's fine so long as the rolling diameter is the same, which I don't understand how they can be the same if there different tyres front and back. 275 on rear and 245 on front was what was recommended. cheers

Thanks for that. I was thinking of retrimming my GTR seats but a couple of places I did ask didn't give me much option in terms of leather colour. I am not a big fan of the cream yellow leather getting around and was hoping I could find someone who would give me a few more options. Also I have seen some retrimmed and didn't think the quality was anything like that of a brand name seat. If any of you guys know's of a good retrimmer around Sydney, let me know. Cheers.

Has anybody had or seen the leather style GTR seats for sale on this site in one of the for sale section. I am looking for new seats preferably leather and come across the Leather GTR style ones Just Jap sell. Can anyone tell me if they are a good replacement for the standard 33 GTR seat quality wise or am I going backward. They look ok on the site, but it seems most people opt for the more expensive Recaro or other brand name seats which I simply can't justify to my self. Thanks

Sorry Jimmy, there sold to Dean ( a fellow drifter by the sound of it) Might sound nuts, but I want them gone out of the shed, bought my new rims at a great bargain also, didn't need the works rims, so threw it out there. If it falls through, I will let you know via PM. I got so many Pm's I just couldn't reply them fast enough cause of the delay between each PM and I had to go to bed.

I just had a look at a plate on the rim and it says SIZE 17 x9.0JJ P.C.D 114.3 and Off 10 . I hope that is the offset, cause other then that, only thing stamped on it is Made in Japan, VMA660KG and the Works symbol. If that isn't it then I have no idea what the offset is.

I have a set of 4 17" Worksmeister S1 rims with some dish. 3 in good condition and 1 with gutter rash, thanks to the girlfriend. They come off my 33 GTR and have a few chips and the stickers are starting to fade in spots, so not really ideal for someone who has a mint ride. New tyres will be needed. I am based in Newcastle. Chasing $600

Lowering the back of the box and getting an extended socket with a couple of wobbly ones worked a treat, thanks everybody. Any advice on how to make your hands shrink for such jobs, gorrrilla hands aren't an advantage in this game.
