this. i've actually got a 1600 in my shed, already has good suspension and brakes, needs a new motor. and i'm still debating if it would be cheaper to use a s13 or similar.

i reckon i'll ask the people on the gate if the skylines are running before i pay, was a little disappointed last time, although still good to see some great cars running around

holy shit i am so there, quick 5 minute drive for me too. bloody hoping to see the winfield gtr get a run this time, was so dissapointed last time when it wasn't running.

the load points in my gtr where 125rpm right the way to the 8500rpm rev limit using the wolf v500 i had nothing but praise when i was running the wolf, same with my mechanic, he previously recomended haltecs but has since made the switch. i changed from a power fc to a wolf v500 and the biggest difference i noticed was the power and revs seemed so much smoother, and was much quicker to rev. (i changed nothing else at all) can't comment about the older wolfs. and am lucky to use a guy who really knows his stuff with them

when i had my gtr motor rebuilt the only extra (performance) work done was a bit of porting, port matched manifolds and a set of 264/272 cams, can't remember the lift but only a little above stock. i found that full boost came on a little earlier (maybe 200rpm) made 40kw more at the wheels and the responce on and off throttle was better. this was with -5's. curious if i could have had a better cam choice. as far as off boost responce, well i was making positive pressure by 2000-2200 and 8psi by 3, from there it came on a bit slower but very linear.

hmm that's true, i was talking about buying brand new off nissan, which is stupdily expensive.

as dirt garage said you could quite easily use your stock rods for the build as they have been proven to hold the power. but if you have to buy a few new ones it'll work out cheaper going spool rods.
