  1. nothing really. just a cheap way out. doesn't really do much a factory computer can't do. but couldn't expect much more from a "after market computer" that uses a chipped nissan ecu. basically what dr. drift does.
  2. yeah it's pretty good. wait till you change to a real aftermarket ecu.
  3. well my has a bottom end knock as off friday night. it is only very faint but i can hear it. so the car was towed to my place. but it's not that bad. shouldn't have cause much other damage the a f**ked bearing. so basically instead of spending the money do the oil control mods/new bearings/all new head gear in a few months like i had planned i am going to do it now. my advice, find one that has got the oil mods that sydneykid (gary?) recomends. and get one that has an accurate oil pressure guage (aftermarket.) and lastly enjoy it. they are so much fun.
  4. yep pretty much a death sentace for someone on a bike. and as of friday the section of road just south of gympie still wasn't repaird. it's a simple case of someone looking at the costs to install. and the wire works out cheaper.
  5. go to court. the actual fine should read "modifying a silencing device so as to reduce it's effectivnes" probably worth a try arguing that it's purpose is to keep the car below the set legal limit, and that it still does that so it is in fact not reducing it's effectivness. was it a traffic cop? better chance if it was as most magistrates don't really seem to like traffic cops.
  6. ok everyone i need it gone. $500 if it sells soon
  7. ever thought of just closing it and opening one witht the NAB? they probably don't do it anymore but for a while they where offerening 6 or 12 months (can't remember) intrest free on the cards when you swap over to them.
  8. PRICE DROP 700 ono
  9. anyone had any dealings with RPM performance in morayfield? just curious cuase i couldn't give peter (owner) a better rep. has more than look after since going to him. even caught him playing around with the tune on my wolf at 11pm. but then again he did tune it with 125rpm mapping points.
  10. pretty sure (in qld) that it is 2/3m behind and a 45 degree angle.
  11. yeah wouldn't mind knowing this either. also cheapest prices for forged pistons and rods for both rb30 and rb26
  12. no unfortnatly no hand controller.

  14. try RPM performance in caboolture. not sure how where in brissie you are but i am more than happy with his work on my old sil80 and now my 32 gtr 54993932
  15. 240z, datsun 1600 (dad owned one)and of course the older vipers ( http://www.sportandvintage.com/Viper1.JPG ) if i ever win lotto i am still gonna buy one.
  16. i bought mine recently for 20k, bargained down from 23k. for a roadworthy it needed 1 new brake disk(replaced all 4) and needs the engine mounts gearbox mounts and tailshaft center bearing are on the way out. but nothing to stress about just yet. all up on the road i spent 21k on it, not including rego etc.
  17. i know i would get frustrated as hell doing a tour by the sounds of it. wonder how pissed off the tour operator would be when he gets overtaken by a gtr
  18. well i never said i had the details worked out perfectly. there would be a lot of issues, but damn it would be fun. even better when you chuck a set of turbo's on it. room might become an issue though
  19. sounds kinda intresting. wouldn't bother with a 2j when you can do a rb30dett and not commit sacrilege (sp?) that being said i don't mind the idea of a ls6( 7ltr corvette) while running twin turbo's and using the 4wd drive system.
  20. how much extra (if at all) would you factor in for a 26/30 combo? providing you already have the head.
  21. some people grow up some people grow old. i think you might be the later. happy birthday
  22. i agree with duncan. i except i will pay you two hours labour just to do it. i am looking to have my motor pulled out now to sort the oil control issue out. just slowly putting money aside as i want to do it all at once and a set off cam's with a mild port and polish while the heads off. not gonna be cheap.

    Rb26/30

so i'm guessing the rb30 has stock internals.
  24. i would like to do that. but i don't really have the cash lying around for it. well i could scrounge it up but it's for other fun things. could possible be pretty quick to blow. there is another gtr in the mechanic that i use. blew his motor i am guessing partly because of oil issues and partly because he thought it was ok to run 25psi through a standard motor. and frequently swing it to redline on a cold motor. oh well looks like i might be putting a bit more money aside. taking the motor out and doing the sump+restrictor+external oil feed. and of course a minor port+polish and a set of cams while the head's off
