  4. you have to look at the power level your chasing. acl may be good value, but will they take 700hp worth of punishment? doubt it. ive used acl pistons before, and dont get me wrong, theyr great. but you have to do a complete package, not just pick and choose parts, as one part may be a weak link in the chain, and fail destroying your motor. and dont go second hand, many drag motors have pull downs every few 100kms, but they do get punished in that period, and may be ready to fail.
  5. could be piston slap, if it does go away when warm, id bet on that. bogcock was on the money if you had a stock internal setup, but forgies are renound for being loud when cold

  7. from memory the dump and cat is 2.5" or 2.25". but its not mandrel bent, so its bend diameter is even smaller
  8. as he mentioned. the 33gtst and 32gtr brakes are the same, as is the bolt pattern for 33gtr 32gtst etc... 33gtr much easier option.... depending on how cheap your getting the 34 brakes for of course.....

  10. i know that in those threads not many ppl like them, but i have personally seen them in action. my mate has a 480 on his 25/30, and its a weapon of a turbo. my uncle has a kkr480 on his rb20, and it pulls like a $2 hooker
  11. if the 32gtr is around the same price as the 32, its not a stocker... sus it out, and see whats done to it... the 33vspec will outlast the 32gtr, as long as they are stockers... the 32gtr if stock, and has a few 100 thou on the clock, will be after a rebuild very soon, so at least 10g needed there....
