im guessin here its just another r33 with a exhaust? its hardly serious power, and for power and jealousy, i own a r33 myself with exhaust, frountmount, clutch, cold air, boost etc, its not a rocket ship but its not slow either, and I can control it any day of the week driving around daily on roads. by the way I am relaxed, just sick of reading posts about kids that just bought a stock r33 and think they own a 10 second car and whinge cause they cant learn their lesson. professional driver? bitch, please...
-
you boot it and wonder why the cops pull you over? maybe if you didnt feel the need to floor it then you wouldnt have any problems, i may not have been driving all that long but in the 4 years I have ive never driven on a road where my tyres have spun driving normally, be a man and accept whatever penalty you get rather then whinging about it. your also the guy who tries boasting to people on forums you have $490,000 worth of assets yes? you sound like a knob to me and hope the cops rape you anyway. and you get $1000 worth of fines in 2 weeks and say you DONT drive stupid? ive had my r33 with a few more mods then you for over 2 years, and in that time ive been done for 1 point and $90, learn not to be a ****head on the roads and youve got nothing to worry about.

using money from your trustfund to buy a $80k+ car as your first car is the stupidest thing I have heard, and your parents letting you do it is even funnier. why dont you wait until your like 25, and on a rating 1 or something, start with a cheaper car so you can get some driving experience, and cheaper insurance as well as easier rating. you gotta taste the sour before you can appreciate the sweet but good luck to you none the less, your gonna need it

Hey sylv, its brett Yeah ive seen your car around, usually at subway

You can buy a powerfc with handcontroller for $1400 second hand if u look around. I wouldnt imagine it would be too many dollars after that for some tuning.
-
dave; to make more money off people who dont know any better? and mick, is it similar prices for a r33? what exactly can you tune with the chiptorque ones, dont know much about em

on a 33 gtst you can remove the speed limiter by just cutting 1 wire on the ecu, $0.00 .. or so ive been told. forget which one it was though im sure someone else can tell you

Buying a new turbo for my 33, any advice?
burt replied to burt's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thanks for your input Al Yeah I think I might leave the turbo upgrade till I at least get a new fuel pump and fuel regulator, maybe a chip of some sort. I already have a catch can. I wasnt expecting to make that sort of power/time with my current mods anyway, just thought a turbo upgrade would be a nice step. -
Nop, its running 10psi and it feels like 10psi doesnt really give you that kick back that 13-14 would start to

Buying a new turbo for my 33, any advice?
burt replied to burt's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
yes i know its not that simple... would a fuel pressure regulator maybe get me out of needing new injectors? My mechanic can fit the turbo for me and I will be taking it somewhere to go back on the dyno before I do anything silly with it. -
Hiyas Im looking at buying a new turbo off another dood, just wondering if you guys could offer some advice/info on it for me. heres some details... Will i have any problems physically fitting it in there, and im guessing i will probably need another dump pipe made up? are the specs any good? All I know is it *should* be a pretty easy swap into my engine, is there anything I should be aware of. Current mods are custom FMIC, 3" exhaust/dump, pod with cold air, brass button clutch, 11psi. How much of a gain should I notice just running the same boost with this new turbo? Will the fuel pump/injectors be able to handle this.. sorry for all the questions, i just dont want nasty suprises when I get it thanks in advance.

From what ive read, HKS put out alot more then garrets, how much more I dont know, but the name is probably included in the price too

Well these guys that replaced my plugs are supposed to be "nissan specialists" so you would assume they know what plugs and gap to use... i wish I could just find out what the frickin problem is then >:|
-
Ahmen. Yea it sucks huh. Although now im pretty sure its a ignition problem, and i dont really want to spend the $ on a trial and error thing, so im hoping someone here can help me.

Hey all. Ive got a 94 gts-t, if I try boosting it over 10-11psi it starts to missfire in a pretty harsh way... Anyway I took it to Gavinwoods autotech (some of u qld'ers may know him) and he came to the conclusion its a problem with the coil pack. I cant remember now wether he said it was just 1 coil, or the whole lot needed replacing. anyway he ended up changing the plugs and setting the gap etc on em, and didnt really want much more to do with it. My question who/how can test which one it is, and is it ok to just replace the 1 faulty coil? i was told coils are around $200 EACH! new from nissan (which I aint planning on paying that much) or around $90 if im lucky enough to find them second hand. The next mod im looking at is a new ballbearing turbo, so I would like to get this sorted before I purchase a turbo and am stuck with 10psi instead of 18 or so and I have a fmic along with other mods so it can handle 10+ psi easily...
