  1. if cryogenically treating a metal means that the stress is absorbed by a greater surface area (or the whole), would this mean that the teeth on gears could benefit from this kind of treatment? and would this mean that the shaft they are connected to would absorb some of the stress? just my 2c, i thought raising this point may be of use to some ppl.
  2. what about ignition switches (maybe their called kill switches im not sure), but they prevented 3 thieves stealing a freinds car (mitsubishi 3000gt) after they demanded the keys off him. parents also used to have one on a calais and after searching extensively even the mechanics couldn't find it to get the car started. this was a few years ago though. are these devices inaffective nowadays does and anyone in here use one?
  3. apparently the gt-rs was made to make up for the 2540's misbalanced turbine and compressor. so it gives around the same power but doesn't suffer the lag of the misbalanced 2540. hope that helps.
  4. what about the apexi n1, that is supposed to be a loud exhaust and flows well too. although doubt it would be legal.

  6. what is the pants off the seat feeling for a 2530 powered rb20? from what ive read off the forum it is definately the best turbo for this engine and pulls hard to the redline...8000rpm
  7. as my name implies i can only dream about owning a GTR let alone a gts-t at the moment. i've only been for a drive in one slightly modified gts-t and the grin didn't leave my face for days.........buying my first skyline after months or years of slaving, that expression will be priceless.

  10. its people like this that give skyline enthusiast a bad name. it annoys me to think that 'p' platers who want to illegaly drag race can give a negative sterotype to the general public when most of the people that drive a skyline (especially a gtr) are in their 30's, 40's, 50's and 60's.
  11. if i or someone else wanted to buy a gtr but have not had experience in one, how should we go about test driving it to make sure it isn't a potato chip that has had the guts flogged out of it.
  12. everyone you ask states that larger exhausts are louder, but whenever i see a gtr or the like with a larger aftermarker exhaust (3-4 inche diametres) they are pretty passive and even at higher rpms you don't hear a roar. can someone please clarify exhasut noise and size for me. thankyou

  15. as a gtr is too expensive i figured a gts-4 would be the next best option as, all wheel drive would be one of the reasons for purchasing a gtr. what psi does the stock gts tubo operate at and is it possible to put the stock gtr turbos with manifold on the rb20det? i am uncertain about intake planium and am thinking that gtr intercooler would be best. any oppinions you are able to give to my query would be much appreciated.
  16. since nissan have stopped making the rb series of skylines does this mean the price for a gtr will rise or fall for them in australia?
