  1. i wont be returning to this particular tuner for reason's i wont go into publicaly. ill just leave it as is. its not like its a dud. ill just get some more parts together and then take it somewhere else.
  2. yea thats what i was thinking, realistic dyno. only problem is it doesnt feel all that well on the street. unless i was just expecting to much,i just cant understand why they had to pull the timming out "less then std" in some load points around 3000rpm. it makes for a very "doughy" pick up if you catch my drift.
  3. hey guys i reccently had my rb25 tuned, the problem is the car only made 192rwkw on 12psi, even though when i load it up it stays at 10psi, ive seen many std rb25's make this with std ecu etc and now im questioning the tune,the car had some high knock readings under light throttle uphill say 3000rpm not giving it a hard time. to the point where they had to pull timming out from below std settings. this also didnt make much sense.. mods are: rb25det std turbo,injectors,afm greedy plenum front mount 3inch exhaust 600x300 cooler fuel pump powerfc boost controller is profec B 2... i wouldve assumed an easy 200rwkw should be in order, the motor is very healthy with good compresion and lil to no leak down...am i expecting to much from these mods? whats your thoughts? dyno sheet http://img297.imageshack.us/img297/1940/dsc04149lg3.jpg

  6. hey guys i reccently got my car tuned and had some bad experience's there and im now fed up with it, i just wana try sort it out myself. the problem is the car hunts when its dead cold till it warms up abit, im talkin dead cold as in first started after sitting over night. the engine is rb25, pretty much std just with a pfc tuned. it made 196kw on 12psi apparently which i wasnt very happy with however the car drives alot better now.. either way i just wana get this sorted. is there a simple setting in the powerfc i can tinker with or will i be forced back there? thanx in advance.

  10. hey guys ive reccently fitted a greedy plenum to my rb25 cefiro, only problem is i had to do a temporary dodge on the clutch master cylinder to clear the rear of the manifold, basicaly im in need of a very short clutch master plus one where prefurably the line comes off the side of the master, ive looked at an s14 type which has the line off the side however the its the same length as my cefiro one... any help would be great.
  11. if it helps repco have a special atm in theyre trade catalogue on pwr trans coolers, i bought one to use as a power steering cooler. comes with 1m hoses +clamps and some fittings. cost me $80 me thinks
  12. i fail to see a problem here your car goes harder on less boost. so leave it on less boost. you turbo/engine will love you for it

  16. For the same reason general doctors dont perform brain surgery, rebuilding turbo's is a specialist job that requires special machines.

  19. if your car doesnt run an airflow meter, then ive got a turbosmart vee port you can snap up.... i dont reakon a std one would hold down 18psi of gt30, if it did, for how long?
  20. no i dont have a monkey bar in my car, however several people have fallen into your trap. i have metal rear subframe pineapples in my car, yes they make a difference however they increase road noise. if your soft go the urethane ones
  21. this seems to pop to mind^^^ however is that 160kw at all 4?
  22. try and issolate a cylinder if possible. depends how harsh the noice is, wouldnt wana cause any more damge. however by issolating the cylinder your in the general direction. could be a collapsed lifter?
