  1. Looking for a S14A AFM. That or a blacktop SR20DET AFM with wiring. Delivery required, located in QLD.
  2. Hi guys, I thought i'd ask some of the clever characters on here about this, i didnt get much help from silvia forum. I have recently bought and s14 and have noticed a bad miss at constant throttle and between 1200- 2500rpm. When the car is completely cold the miss is not present, however once the temp gauge comes up, it begins to miss bad "car jumps" The miss is also intermittent. So far i have checked the coil packs for resistance with a multimeter, and have sprayed the air flow metre with electrical contact cleaner. Car runs shell 98 v power fuel, and the spark plug gaps are 0.85mm. The miss also does not seem to be present at full throttle. Anyone have suggestions? cheers, Richard
  3. As the title says, I am chasing the front speaker covers for an R32, anyone who has them lying around providing theyre not broken. i'm not going to pay rediculous amounts for them.
  4. Yeah could be worth finding out for me. But if theres crap about going over the engineering of the car to transfer to QLD, its not worth me looking at NSW cars. Just a rumour i've heard.
  5. Free bump! This is a sweet buy guys. You are all very lucky down south, very hard to come across one like this for the price up in QLD. good luck with the sale bud!!!
  6. Car looks great. i would be interested but im located in QLD and im not sure how much mucking around is involved in registering in QLD.
  7. Hi guys, im chasing a R32 GTST m spec. with about 120xxx k's good interior. with small mods such as strut brace, turbo timer, exhaust. willing to pay around $10,000
  8. Hi guys, i recently have been chasing a black 32 Gtst and i spotted this one advertised on car sales and was quite interested. I further spotted it on ebay a little cheaper, now i was really keen. However, the year model, kms and location didnt ad up so i was a little suspicious http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...p;rd=1&rd=1 http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/priva...|1&trecs=44 Does anyone recognise the car?
  9. nice car, would be very keen but sorry dont live in melbourne, good luck with sale. I'm currently looking for a 32 round simliar price, but live in far north QLd.
  10. Thanks for your pictures guys, all very nice. BUt yer seriously 32line, that is very clean looking car i enjoy looking at it very much. cheers guys
  11. yer, imo the 32 are meaner looking cars than the 33. Both great cars for performance and easy to work on so yer ill probably wait out for a nice 32 to come along. I have little money to spare so if problems occur id like to be able to fix a few myself. cheers for your comments
  12. Yer ive driven a 32 and love its handling, i just cant see me getting a 300 to handle anywhere near as good, without spending a bit. They are very large cars, imo the 32 looks better. Just looking at the 300's engine bay, i doubt id even be able to reach for the oil filter lol. looks like lot of trips to the mechanic for simple fixes. But yer. i havent driven one so i suppose my final decision will be after ive gone for drive in one. cheers anyway. This forum isnt very good one for this topic either, because we are all biased lol. ahh well
  13. Hi all, im currently looking at buying either a 32 gtst, or a 300zx twin turbs. Obviously the 32 is a much smaller car and handle nicely. Do 300zx handle anywhere near as good as a skyline or are they just good for straight line performance? Anyone know the fuel consumption of a 300 compared to the 32's I recently have owned a 33 and found them a little like driving a boat so yeah, feel free to display opinions.
  14. Bar fitted today. Car drives great. best it has felt. all problems eliminated. turned out being a very cheap fix, rather than spending heaps trying to determine the problem. Btw markimak i just removed the electrics from the bar, not the ecu. if u get rid of the ecu ur steering goes to shit. but if you just remove the electrics from the bar, it wont fix ur problems, because it allows the tyre rod ends to slop around all over the shop, felt bad... Buy a hicas bar they're a sweet fix:D
  15. hey all looking for centre console for R33 series 1. or just the top flip part, my is wrecked.
  16. Sun has gotten very hot, and it has made the clip on my centre console so brittle that it broke. Anyone in QLD got any spares lying around?
  17. Yes, i believe you are having the same problems as mine, i spotted your thread too. Mine feels same as you describe, however my light is constantly on. Im just gonna take a gamble and get the bar. they are cheap and i believe it will be an easy fix.
  18. Hey manwhore where abouts are these 4 bolts you are speaking of. on the bar or in the boot near the battery? sorry to but in, i got same problem.
  19. RB20DE very slow, if you want reasonable performance just buy the turbo and drive it stock. It's your decision whether or not to up the boost. engine could very well be bad, but there are so many of them you will definately find any parts that need fixing. Insurance, is very similar. imo you'll do better with the turbo. The power difference between the RB20DE and RB25DE is quite noticable.
  20. Hey Deren, Sorry im not in brisbane. i believe if i get the lockout bar this will effectively be the same as unplugging the hicas plugs on the stock hicas bar. Because the normal hicas bar is not always at a straight angle when i was driving the back wheels would have been doing anything, and probably were all over the road at different camber lol. So by getting the hicas lock it should lock it straight and possibly get rid of that awkward feeling. The steering wieght was like normal so i think it should work. what do you think? I'm selling the car soon so i want it to feel great for the buyer.
  21. hey guys, It has been about 2 weeks since i've had a problem with my hicas. The light has remained, the steering has been fine until now. The stiff notchy steering has just returned, and im still contemplating on buying the lock bar to fix the problem. I decided to do a test of my own. I unplugged the plugs from the hicas bar and took the car for a drive. It seemed as if the front of the car was floating when turning left and right down the straight road at about 50km/h, and seemed to be understeering a lot. It felt bad, and im hoping this isnt what it feels like with the lockout bar. My question is, if i get a hicas lock bar do i simply do the same thing buy removing the plugs and just taping them off, or do i also remove a fuse to disable all power to hicas system?
