  3. There is no such thing as boost cut. It is fuel cut. Standard ecu dont read boost pressures. They read the mass of air traveling through the AFM. As BOOSTD said it is probably plug gaps. RB25DET's are very sensitive to plug gaps being bigger than .8mm when running more than standard boost levels. I recommend .7mm too. Michael..
  4. The bores will be fine. Blow the coolant out with air or soak it up with a rag. Find a scraper to scrape the remainder of the head gasket off the deck. Dont lean the scraper to one side leaving deep scratches. Then use a honing stone (the large rectangle one you use for knifes) rub the deck of the eng evenly using petrol to assist. Make sure you use the fine side as they are generally course one side and fine the other. When the deck is apsolutley spotless and you can wipe it with a white rag and it doesnt change colour from dirt then the head is ready to fit. Michael...

  6. Yes you can have vac to both regs. Doing this will give you standard pressure at idle meaning smooth idle. If you are running high pressures on the malpassi and dont have the vacuum line connected to the standard reg you might have idle problems such as stalling and very low idle. Michael...

  8. Hi, Its very simple. 1, Lets say the top of the reg is the section that has the vacuum nipple and adjustment 2, The holes in the sides are fuel in and fuel pressure gauge. If your not using a gauge then you must block one of the side holes off. 3, The hole in the bottom is fuel back to the tank. 4, Your original reg is bolted to the rail with a vacuum line and fuel hose attatched to it which if you follow it goes to the tank. 5, The hose coming off your original reg you need to cut some where, where you can mount the Malpassi reg. This hose has to join the original reg to the side of the Malpassi. 6, The other end of the hose that goes back to the tank pushes on to the bottom of the Malpassi. 7, The vacuum line for your standard reg is where you get vacuum for the Malpassi so just get a t piece and t into it leaving the standard one connected. This is so you still have a fairly smooth idle as just using the Malpassi can create idle problems due to too much pressure. 8, You will need to set the pressure on the malpassi while the car is idling and the vacuum line is disconnected on both the malpassi and standard reg. Set it to about 40psi. Then hook both vacuum lines back on. 9, A mounting bracket bolted to the rhf strut bolt is generally the easiest to put it for a skyline. Enjoy! Michael...

  10. Knock warning light comes on at 60. Anything below this is fine. Obviously less is best. Steve the only way i think to check your knock is to put the car on the dyno or replace the sensor with another one not changing any settings and seeing what it reads. Michael...

  19. Hey peoples im thinking about selling my R33 or swapping it for a WRX Impreza wagon. Will also trade a silvia or 180 SX. Must be SR20 DET. Man or auto. 1993 74000kms Blue 5 speed New 17" white Enkai racing wheels New 255/40/17 tyres. Brand new Power FC and Hand controller. Momo race steering wheel Brand new pioneer flip face cd head unit with reciepts and box (2 weeks old) Blitz boost gauge Brand new 3" dump pipe with reciept (2 weeks old) Twin 2.5 inch Jasma exhaust with 2 small polished cannon mufflers. Lowered 2 inches with damper adjustable suspension. Brand new K and N panel filter in standard air box (2 weeks old) This car is apsolutley imaculate. Interior looks brand new. Body is extremely straight with no dents or scratches. It has always run standard boost and has just had a major service including G box oil, diff oil and mobil 1 engine oil. Tufoil was added to gbox, diff and engine. I bought a brand new Power FC and hand controller about 2 weeks ago which ive fitted. It has never been tuned and is set on standard settings. I looked at dozens of cars before buying this and spent about 4 months doing so. The only reason im selling it is because i want a wagon and WRX is turbo in a wagon so thats what im after.
