Mate i am using the castrol edge 0w-40, in the Rb25 and i noticed it ran cooler and smoother through the exceleration have been happy with it, but i was using the 10w-60 before that it was just to thick. I just took out a small loan ($160 odd dollars for a bloody oil change) The Motul 300v chrono 10w-40 and a K&N oil filter, so i will see how that goes it better be worth it. Shockproof redline oil amazing the gearbox is like shifting hot knife through butter definately recommend it.

  3. Ive heard the Bridgestone RE 55s are good, probly go a 265/35/18. or Dunlop but i think they are more expensive. I can put you on to a guy that deals in secondhand performance tyres. I scored 285 pirelli P zero for $85 each. They had about 35% tread but these tyre are close to $1000 each brand new. And 2x Dunlop SP3000 80% tread for $150.

  13. Yeah mate they are great cars i was the same as you looking at R32 GTRs or R33s, if you want performance and a good daily driver the Skyline is perfect. It took me about 12 months and i found my R33, i payed $8000 more at the time. But the work that had gone into this car was more than i was going to do to a stock one, it had reciepts of all the work done on it and the previous owner poured thousands of dollars into it. So just be paitient and something will turn up, but i would buy a modified one, make sure it has reciepts of all work and dyno tunes. Good luck with it.

  17. It is time for a change and i am selling my front bar and wing both white in colour.. $300 for the wing $400 for the front bar. Both only resprayed about 8 months ago. The front bar has been modified with a bigger area cut out around the intercooler and the bottom has been moulded into one piece, so its a bit different to others. Pic below. PM or leave message. Brisbane area.

  22. Yeah he doesnt seem willing in working through any problems with the microtech. Sorry mate no cock rot here. F*ck that i wouldnt spend that type of money on a motor full stop even if it cracked 800Hp, the misses would kill me. Then i would definately have no cock to rot if ya know what i mean LOL.

  24. Yeah that is a big difference which one is accurate. Well if pits was 390rwhp and the current tuner was 360rwhp his must be really low LOL. So that might be in our favour.
  25. Ok the tuner mainly works with motec and bagged microtech not good but have been going there for years and didnt trust anyone else. When we got the results of the tune 360rwhp, he said that the map sensor was not up to the high psi that it was running with the microtech. so he reduced the psi 22 down to 19. No hasnt had much experience on microtech. Yes experienced workshop. Didnt put cams in, ran out of the $$$$$$ as you can see it had already cost a shit load, and they said it was making good power without them??? So whats the problem with the power curve, is that bad the way it drops off. And thanks for everyones input so far its been a big help. And just to clear things up. 1) All mechanical work was down in a experienced workshop. 2) The dyno sheet shown above is done at pits with the result of 390rwhp, no mechanical work was done there only the tune. 3) The current tuner has detuned it to 360rwhp and said it was the map sensors in the microtech. He had to reduce the psi as it used to miss and breakdown in high boost.
