  1. yeah, I've had pelvis shattering coilovers in both my 180s so i'm looking forward to a bit of a softer ride. Thanks for that info pixel, just what I needed to hear!
  2. I was a little hesitant in the beginning to stick my hand up in the beginning when the thread came up about the car, after I had already brought it, what with all the sceptisim regarding but we had the full mechanical inspection done and thats all up to par and the overall condition is pretty amazing. I'll definetly let you know if this fairy tale turns out to be a nightmare.
  3. Hey guys, I know there is an intro thread somewhere but I figure i'm only gonna be lurking around the Stagea sub forum so i'll say hello here. I'm Matt, 21 years old, from Melbourne. I'm a resource manager for a pay tv company. So ya'll remember that too good to be true 99 s2 stag from J-spec? Well yeah, I brought that. I needed a more a subtle car to get me through my golden point year and with just starting my own production company I need to space! My automotive tour started with my first 180, which very shortly after became strawberried... Then that car has an accident unfortunatly and I moved on..... To another black s13 180sx... It started off like this Then went like this Then the kit got finished off and it wound up like this I've just recently sold the angel eye 180 because the Stag should be touching down in qld this friday! Future plans for it are just a manual conversion, fmic from my freinds at GKtech, full exhaust, strut braces and EBC. Don't want huge power again, my first 180 had around 180rwkw and the 2nd when I had the computer in it pused 225rwkw. Once my year on the golden point is over I plan on getting an e36 m3. I recognise afew user names around here from Nissansilvia.com like AlexCim and FlySly. Looking forward to getting to know you guys over the coming year of proud Stagea ownership!!
  4. Love it or hate it, some serious coin has been spent there. Personaly, I like it, bar the skate board ramps on the rear and the tron sideskirts.
  5. Cheers Alex. I'll be sticking with the tried and true conversion guide then.
  6. Thanks Sydney kid, hey alex, whats a 34gtr box worth? Probably more than my car I'd imagine.
  7. 99 series 2 rs4 tiptronic. I plan to do a full manual conversion in the very near future, A freind of a freind is selling a complete trans for a very competitive price is all. Don't particularly want a 6 speed, just full manual of course. Just throwing it out there.
  8. Hey guys, I have access to an s15 gearbox. Has this conversion been done before? or more realisticly, is it possble? Thanks in advance. -Matt
  9. Actually the whole point of buying in Japan so you have access to vehicles you can't get here
  10. SO whats the easiest way at the end of the day for me to keep my OEM xenons? I had them on my strawberry and I can't live with out them!! DO I just tell the compliance workshop that you can take them out completely and i'll supply OEM headlights for it? or if i was to borrow a standard set, would I have to do it behind the compliance joints back so to speak? Cheers.
  11. In short, J-spec don't f**k you around with bullshit mark ups or dodgy fees. I have used them twice, couldn't be happier with Craig and Ben.
  12. Hey guys, as im sure most of you did when your stag was on the boat, im buying up bits and pieces for her. As far as audio goes, I already have my competitions subs and amps from a previous car, but just wonder what else I will need? I have a head unit and 6" splits for the front, but what size, if any and where, does the rear accomodate? Thanks heaps. -Matt
  13. Very nice choice. Really contrasts well with your panda bonnet. 18" are the ideal choice, they really don't compromise much at all except for marginally higher rubber prices. Well done.
  14. The compliance workshop keeps them? I'd imagine they are still your property.
  15. Hey Guys n girls, quick question ; Do all stags after 98 have them? or is it a factory option? Thanks again, Matt
  16. Nicely put Silverback Thanks for your input also Ska. Quite reassuring comments, it's very much appreciated. Edit: Also, for those concerned, my puppy has stopped drinking my kitties water.
  17. Thanks for that SydKid and Munch. I'm just hoping it's a rewarding drive. Don't want the car to do all the work and have a gearbox lined up for full man conversion. Is all this extra weight? where is it? I mean, hows the split?
  18. Thanks munch. Pretty much the reply I was looking for. One question, you say "They are not a rocket ship but this can be improved without too much trouble and the supporting systems are all in place to handle a few increases in performance" I assumed it'd respond to mods just like any other neo6 weather is be skyline or stag, or is there something im missing?
  19. So, I have just purchased a lovely Stag. I brought it because I love Jap cars, I have had a cadet 180sx and two sr20 180sx, u13 bluebird atessa and an r34 GTT for about a month before I sold it. The Stag seemed like a perfect choice as I was in the market for a 4wd, something along the lines of a hilux surf so I wouldn't have to borrow my uncles forby everytime I went to the snow or down coast. My question to you established owners ; Do you still get the feeling of driving a sports car? Still a rush? Do you still find Police target your vehicle? Do your peers or even random wankers on the street still consider it a sports car? I get the feeling im going to really miss the chuckability of the rwds but at the same time really needed a bigger car and the practicality that follows. Yours thoughts and experiences would be most welcome. Cheers.
  20. Thanks guys. Sorted.
  21. Hey guys, I'm chasing a FMIC for C34 stag, don't particularly want to import one. Any suggestions? Cheers.
  22. Rear bar and side skirts, count me in.
