  1. Is the car modified?
  2. I have a few questions. Is the car modified or defected (or defected in another state)? What do you mean blue slip is provided by the seller? You either need a pink slip or a blue slip, the one you need will depend on your circumstances. It doesn't have anything to do with the seller. With the details you've provided, I'm guessing it will be closer to the following - Step 1 - Get an unregistered vehicle permit from Services NSW Step 2 - Drive the car from the seller to my house and keep it stored Step 3 - Take your modified car to a blue slip workshop. Get laughed at. Drive home. Step 4 - Restore the car to stock or near stock. Return to the blue slip workshop and get it signed off. Step 5 - Pay for your green slip. Step 6 - Head to SERVICES NSW. Do paperwork. Get plates. Step 7 - Do a skid. Post vids.
  3. Give MCA or Shockworks a call, explain how you use your car and what your budget is. Then be surprised at the transformation that has taken place after install/setup and kick yourself for not doing it earlier lol.
  4. Welcome! Looking very tidy, good find
  5. Thanks for posting that up. I wonder if the serious track/race cars are rebuilding their shocks as maintenance and it just isn't really discussed. I would be keen to hear from those with race cars/serious track cars what their experience is with this.
  6. Have you seen any shock dyno data in relation to this? I would be very keen to have a look if you have.
  7. I've never heard about this frequent rebuild business, what issues have you heard of requiring them to be rebuilt as routine maintenance? I've always thought that if they aren't leaking/no other visible issues then they are fine.
  8. What are the chances something like this will ever exist for our cars? https://www.kwsuspensions.net/racing/competition_4a/
  9. I thought this might be interesting / relevant. About 23:45 into the podcast they discuss putting big brakes on a modern car with ABS. Might not be applicable for our dinosaur datsuns though.
  10. Can you log every channel and post up the data? Would save a lot of guessing.
  11. Nice Another vote for build thread please!
  12. Have you tried fixing the ignition barrel that you broke earlier?
  13. Are we just going to pretend this is Brembo OEM quality?
  14. Genuine or reproduction? Looks like used genuine is still going for 2k+
  15. Everyone has their own definition of what is fun and what isn't. As a guess, people saying big power builds aren't fun on the street is because when driven around obeying the road rules, the big power car is slow as hell. Then when you want to use the 450kw, you can't put the power down. Finally when you do manage to put all 450kw down, it turns out your doing 150kph+ on the motorway...
  16. Sounds like they were just selling their R35 brakes. The big bucks are in the carbon ceramic rotors, those are about $20,000. When you're going for max looks, gotta have those carbon ceramic brakes. I don't see Attkd selling a carbon ceramic option, so do you really have any other choice then the R35 kit at this point?
  17. R35 GTR brakes with carbon ceramic rotors look the best for sure. https://www.alphaomegaracing.com/product/r35-gt-r-brembo-adapters/ https://www.amsperformance.com/product/alpha-performance-r35-gt-r-carbon-ceramic-brake-package/ Some say you can't put a price on looks. Others say that you can and it's about $35,000. But think of the value because really, the looks are priceless.
  18. Rhymes with Bishitomo.
  19. Couldn't hurt to post up the R33 wiring diagram again. R33_Wiring_Diagram.pdf
  20. Lots of good advice in here already, so I'm probably just repeating what others have said. My 2c. If you are chasing lap time, I'd strongly recommend starting with the tyres first. Street tyres will want a different suspension setup, compared to semi's, compared to full slicks which all want something different. Once you've got the best track tyres your budget and class of racing will allow, then I would go about extracting the maximum performance from the tyres by setting up the suspension for what the tyres want.
  21. The uploaded photo is pretty low res, so when I'm squinting at it what I've circled in yellow looks like rust to me.
  22. I suppose you don't need fancy gloves, but spending more gives increased comfort. Pre-curved fingers and external seams are nice. I use RPM XTech 2 gloves and think they are totally worth the price of admission.
