G day guys I have purchased a SAFC 2 for my R33 and want to get it installed setup and dyno tuned etc. Where is the best place to get it done around SE suburbs? I dont want to drive to anywhere i havent been before. What is a good price? I am hoping that the SAFC will iorn out the backfiring and flatspots @ 4500 to 5500 rpm. This is running 9-10 psi boost with a turbotech manual boost control.

hey have you made sure its lost its charge? if so make sure that you want the mechanic to do a leak test to locate the leak. it could be expensive depending where it is! its ileagal to just simply re gas and its a waist of you cash! Expect to pay over $70 a kg for R134a refrigerant. Your system will take around 1 kg. get the job done right mate!

sorry to but in. hey goober, i had a manual boost controller running about 8 psi constant on my R33 GTST S2 96. The car pulled heaps better of the mark untill about 5000-6000 rpm and then it started to miss and backfire real bad. Can you give me any pointers on what to do next? thanks mate.

Its probably a gates belt! ask them what kind they used. gates belts are crap! stick to genuine. That is if all your other cam gear is stock. who did it?

na mate. dissconnect solinoid plug wiring. pull the top hose off solinoid first. trace back to the tee fitting. remove tee fitting totally. the 2 ends leftover connect to the controller. make sure it goes in the right way. the ball should be infront of the spring for inlet. also use wd 40 on the rubber hose. its eazy. good luck setting it up. which type do you have there?

13028-20P25 supersedes 13028-20P10 its a stock nissan belt for the RB25det. according to the experts at nissan!

late model ford rims have the same off set as R33. commodore rims are different they dont fit.

Gday fellas does any one know where i would find a fan blade for my R33 in melbourne? mine is developing cracks and prob wont see out the summer ? thanks heaps.

you will have to convert to an electric motor with a t/stat sensing entering coolant temp into your radiator coil. fan blades for RB25`s can be hard to find.

The blue gates belts promoting tripple the strength of stock. They are crap chuck it in the bin get yourself one of these babys Nissan 13028-20P25 will fix all your problems. Save yourself embaresment at the lights mate.

most likley a faulty air damper motor or wiring issue with climate control. Try a coat hanger (be gental) see if you can open the damper. Find a good auto electrition who knows air conditioning if you dont want to take the dash apart.

Air con compressor: 11720-77A01 Alternator: 11720-42L01 Power steering pump: 11950-58S01 Cam belt: 13028-20P25. My car used to squeal real bad especialy at high rpm. i changed all 3 front belts and have not had any trouble. Repco can provide Dayco equivelants to the nissan belts cheap around $15 each, cam belt around $100 for the gates racing belt. Your cam belt should be done at 100 000 km.

most people say that a 90 degree (1/4) twist of the belt after tentioning is a good rule of thumb to follow in order to determine correct belt tention. we have pulled this dam thing apart twice now and second time around the whine has decreced but is still intermitent.

I found the jap service sticker for 120 000 on the inside of the fuel door on my series 2 33. cluster display says 85 000. fkn jap importer scums. now thats dodgy!

gday all i recently pulled apart my smic on my new R33 gtst to have a bit of a look. The inside of the cooler coil was coated in a black oily substance? I also noticed the stock air box had a square hole cut in it with a hack saw before the filter. someones bright idea. Is crap in the boost lines normal? The car does have a slight miss on idle but otherwise is pretty sweet up to 6000. i have fitted a KN pod, R34 smic and 3" nismo catback exhaust. Boost is stock. would this crap be causing my engine to miss. i would like to hear your comments on this matter

Gday all does anyone have a gates racing belt fitted to there skyline? I have one fitted to my car (did it yesterday). The gates belt is noisey on idle and can be intermitent. Does anyone know wtf is going on? or is it best to stick to nissan genuine parts?
