  4. After a busted R33 front brake caliper or even just the housing of the caliper. Need to cut it up to get an idea of the wall thickness. Pm me if you hav anything
  5. they are bc's for sure, i have the pedders ones they have silver adjustment rings, red springs and black everywhere else
  6. ive ripped apart 2 diffs and one and pair of 0.8 shims and the other had 1.1s
  7. does it do the whole chirp thing? And what shims did it have in it originally I want something that has a bit of a chirp around slow corners but not enough to sound like the tailshaft is gonna explode perhaps 1.3 is the winner
  8. just thought id post my results.. first went a 1.49 + 0.8 on each side and was ridiculously tight (I did this before I knew this thread existed!) then I went town to just the 1.49 on each side and it was nice but still a but clunky on the talkshaft off throttle, today I wacked in a 1.20 on each side and it basically feels like a fresh stocker, which is a but soft cock for my liking. My next go is either 1.3 or 1.4, I am undecied but leaning towards the 1.4 Does anyone know if having different sized shims on either side (i.e 1.49 on once side and say 1.20 on the other)) have any affect besides making a 'custom' total pre load thickness?

  12. ok.. they had no listing, for an R33... I am guessing that ones of an S14 or even maxima/bluebird might do the job? got a part number?
  13. Just after a set of front tie rod ends for my R33, nissan want about $150 and 5 weeks to get them - which seems a bit much.. I hear alot of talk of adjustable ones for better turning circle, just wondering who I could go pick up a set off before I go do a wheel alignment?
  14. get a locked diff! i think nengun also sells longer tie rods ..
  15. if its hitting on the side the offset isnt right and you can fix it with spacers (make sure you get longer studs put in if you go this way), but then it will probably sit out the guards too much and you wont be able to lower it. if its hitting at the top the tyre profile is obviously too high, 245/35 is huge for the front, shoudl be fine on the back, 225/30 is the way to go on the front and if the offsets are right you should be able to deck it hard.
  16. yeh just get one that sits in the guard with the filler neck coming into the engine bay, like vt commodores have, then you can just drill another hole next to the fuse box for the neck to come through

  22. My 33 5 speed seems to have a crunchy 4th gear at high speed, as well as some other random problems. Before I hit the track again Id like to see what it would be worth to fix/rebuild but you dont really hear of many transmission workshops (they musn't advertise much?) so if possible could people put up any they have heard of or have had experience with - good raps only please if you want to diss PM me Surely this could be sticked if alot of people posted!!
