  1. Obviously not, as the speaker is not there anymore, although this wasnt an issue for me as my previous car was a VK Commodore, which barely had lights bright enough to be called lights, let alone, a light reminder. Therefore, forgetting to leave my lights on isnt really an issue for me as I have never been reliant on a reminder.
  2. I feel your pain people! It used to drive me insane even when i was just opening the door to get out and open the garage! I had an auto electrician who went and unplugged a few things to get it to stop, although it also stopped other things like my interior light sensor, and other things that went through it, so i had to undo his bad work! So then i investigated my self and found where the sound is coming from. Underneath the dash, near the steering column to the right, you will see a black plastic box, a bit bigger then a cigirette packet, its mounted on an angle parralel to the steering column, it has one bold holding it on by a steel braket. Pull of the removable pannel on the dash so you can see in better (i think this is for the fuses, cant think at the moment). Unbolt the box and unplug the harness going into it. Then take it to a bench incase you drop it when you pull it apart. For memory it opens with clips on one end, and then the circuit board slides out from one end. Once you have the circuit board out you will see a fairly big black cylinder mounted on it. This is your annoying bastard of a speaker/beeper! From there just grap your soldierer and carefully unsoldier it from the two pins coming out the underside of the board, and carefully pull it up and out while the soldier is still hot. Put it all back together how it was pluging the harness back in and your done. Enjoy the peacefull sound of silence! This sounds hard but is piss easy, and i have found no problems with door sensors etc. since doing it about a month ago. It does not trick the car into thinking anything is on etc. I was worried that something ran parralel through the speaker as possible a trigger for something else, but I have seen no sign of this. Its completly reversable anyway by just soldiering the beeper back on. One of the best mods I have done! haha What do we think?
  3. Does anyone know or have a pic of what the factory one looked like in the daylight, when the lights wern't on?
  4. I think you can have white as well?
  5. If I were you mate, I'd remove the rear wing, leaving the rest of the kit on and paint it all a metallic silver, like the silver on R33's S2's, also paint the wheels the same silver, get some chrome wheel nuts and valves, it will look tough and awesome without being a standout overdone car. Do post pics of it when you have done it!
  6. Hi, I'm after the gear stick surround off a manual R33 Coupe, this is the piece which holds the ash tray and cigarette lighter, (dont need these pieces) colour is not an issue although I believe they all come in black anyway. Also, I dont need it to have the gear boot.
  7. yes as i am also looking around at the moment and am afriad of getting an ugly droneing sound!
  8. Has anyone had anything to do with or know anything about Liverpool exhaust?
  9. Yeh he ebay one sounds good, although, some exhaust places might get a bit dirty about you buying an exhaust and just using them to fit it, they will probably charge more to fit it than if you had brought it from them.
  10. I was quoted around 1200 for a full stianless x force fitted like that ebay one (for a stock R33). Sounds like a good price? Does anyone know if this system is droney at all? Im not really worried about it being loud, but cant stand that drone that some cars have! and i havent really heard many liner exhuasts to compare to. ...What turbo back system do you guys reccomend for a good deep throaty sound, around or a little above the legal limit? Any good exhaust places in Sydney?
  11. Still for sale, make me an offer!
  12. ill second that, pioneer decks are bandits for noise
  13. Yes I am after something thats bright white, not blue as they look cheap as. Any Ideas?
  14. legend!
  15. Hi, I'm looking aorund to buy new globes for the front of my series 2 r33, have asked around a few shops, although nobody seems to know the exact globe type suits the: headlights parker lights high beams and round fog lamps. I am looking to make change everything to phillips crystal vision globes (ice white). Although I need to know what tye of globe fitting/size/type I am asking for!? If anyone can tell me this would be greatly appreciated!
  16. I have just fitted a set of pioneer splits to my front doors, I also was after the clean and tidy look so i sprayed the silver tweeter trimmings matt black. The combo of dynamat extreme on the inner and outer door sheetmetal and the positioning of the tweeter is great, the tweeters literally scream at you, not like some other tweeters ive seen where you struggle to hear them. Heres a pic of my door setup.

  20. Recently picked up my 33 series 2 and when starting the car, there is always a clicking or tapping type noise coming from in the dash (behind the air con vents i think), I've heard it on another 33 before, and I'm pretty sure its from the air conditioner as it occasionally does it when I turn on the air con also, but I'm curious as to what it is exactly? and if anyone knows how to stop it?!
  21. I was looking to buy a car recently, one of the cars I had checked out was R33 SII which was pretty stock besides and intercooler. When I was talking to the guy while inspecting the car, he told me how a mate of his had made something (like a plate?) to block the wastegate, as an alternative for a bov, (this doesnt sound right to me) I revved the car it still had the same but slightly quieter bov sound, which was great. I know for sure that the sound wasnt coming from the pod. Now that I finally have found my own car, I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this as I would rather do this (if it works) over putting on a blow off valve, due to the legalities as well is it being a bit cheaper.
  22. A way you could also check if your wiring is right, is by puling out one of the rear speakers and trying it directly off the wiring harness of the head unit, (just by holding the wires to the speaker terminals momentarily to see if it works) this will allow you to know if you confused something with the cars wiring harness.
