Yeah i tried that and it was OK as per the manual.So i thought about this and i tried it(MY OLD MAN SHOWED ME THIS A FEW YEARS AGO ).I just tried to adjust the timing going on idle smoothness and speed and found a point where it idled really smooth( a fair bit retarded compared to where it was) at around 800rpm or so and now it starts really well.I didnt check it with the timing light but i did get a few mechanics to check the timing before i did what i did and all said it was fine how i set it using a timing light.strange ah
