  1. Perfect! That looks awesome, are they 19's? How much are they if you dont mind me asking.. These have been my favourite wheels since i saw them on the RH9 GTR at autosalon.
  2. If you are not able to get rid of it quickly would you consider separating and shipping the s2 front bar to Melbourne as that is all i need. Please PM me if you happen to change your mind. -Jack
  3. Wow, WA is even stricter.. My mistake
  4. Actually thats not the case.. "Demerit point offence notification If you commit an offence which carries demerit points, VicRoads will send you a letter which lists how many demerit points you have accumulated and the details of the offence(s). If you: have a full driver licence and get 12 or more demerit points in any 3 year period; or have a learner permit or probationary driver licence and you get 5 or more demerit points in any 12 month period or you get 12 or more demerit points in any 3 year period, you will be advised by VicRoads that you have these demerit points and given a notice with two options, as follows. Options available Option 1: Keep your Permit / Licence You can elect to keep your licence but you must not accumulate any other demerit points during a 12 month period specified on your option notice or your licence/permit will be suspended for double the time that it would have been suspended under option 2. If you choose option 1 you should call VicRoads on 1300 555 325 (this automated service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week) and confirm your option selection at least seven days before the option 2 suspension is scheduled to commence. Option 2: Suspend your Permit / Licence If you choose option 2 you do not need to respond to the option notice. Your licence suspension will commence on the date specified in this notice. The suspension period will be three months for the first 12 points (or 5 points if you have a learner permit or probationary licence) plus one month for every additional four points listed in the option notice."
  5. LOL! Paul is a stooge..
  6. Was first meeting for me, Good to meet a couple of the members last night. I think i met Kaz, DuLuck, Leewah and a few others whos names I don't remember. Btw, thanks for the cleaning cloth w/SAU emblem - always needed one of the those. Instead been buying those cheap ones from the vending machine whenever I go to wash my car. Paul - I lol'd hard when the 2 asian guys who had just arrived when we were leaving.
  7. Hey Guys, Not sure if this is the right section but i just came across this link in the supra forum. This guy takes the words 'custom dash' to another level... The pictures speak louder then words.. Whats more impressive this guy programmed the whole display by himself in VB. Now he is putting this car up for sale. Anyway, Enjoy! http://www.mr2forum.de/thread.php%3Fthread...3qSJPiLQWKs6GVQ
  8. I was asking myself this same exact question when i first bought my car. NA or Turbo? I was lucky enough to not have parents etc influencing my decision I got exactly what I chose not what someone else had chosen for me. I went with NA GTS4 and I think you should too. Even though i knew a GTST would be a heap more fun and power I ended up buying a S2 33 GTS4. And for a first car it has been great to me, it goes very well and handles better then most other cars that I have driven. Apart from other skylines ofcourse. Now of course there are days where I think I should have got the Turbo, but everytime I think that, I then think about the close calls that I have had on the road in early days of driving - and I have had a few, i wont lie. You cant help the fact that when you have a brand new car and on top of that your first car. You want to have fun in it. Im not saying I was breaking the law everytime I got behind the wheel but I was driving a lot and was experimenting with the car and getting used to what it could do as opposed to the car that I learnt to drive in. What im trying to say is that those close calls I had while driving my NA would have been accidents had I made the decision to get a Turbo - simply because when you put your foot down (and believe me YOU WILL) the GTS4 will only go so far + it has AWD for added stability and assistance when you go a bit to hard on the Gas. The Turbo on the other hand In my opinion takes a lot more skill and experience to drive especially because of the extra power that it posseses and not to mention the fact that it is RWD making it that much more of a handful for a novice driver. I am close to getting off my P's and when I do I will definitely get a GTST or maybe even a GTR if I can afford it - as a SECOND car because you have no idea about what you DON'T know about driving until you actually start driving by yourself on the roads. There will be no one to give you advice and all decision making and judgement calls about whats on the road in front of you will left upto you and only you. Its quite a full on change when you are used to having someone guide you every step of the way. I sincerely believe that going NA is the right decision for you and may indirectly save your life - its definitely saved mine.
  9. It means you just made the guy who gave wrong information look like an idiot lol
  10. Im struggling to keep count of how many times i have seen the phrase "my friend said" If you dont definitively know the answer to the question based on your EXPERIENCE since that was the original question - then dont post. And yes it was not the wisest choice to ask about a 300 on a Skyline forum - this is what you get.. I have personally driven both and I own a 33 GTS4 SII and have driven a TT Z on many occasions. Personally i think the Skyline really does outhandle the Z but cannot beat it for being an awesome cruiser and for a girl thats all she would really be looking for. Just my 2cents. -Jack
  11. WTF!? Please tell me your referring to simply brake pads on all 4 wheels and not caliper/rotor upgrade etc. That price seems more like an upgrade because pads should not be more then $200-$300... Regards, Jack
  12. Err, do you wanna post up some pics & descriptions of your car first so that people can consider whether they even want your car in the first place?
  13. Congratulations on the buy, very happy for you! Oh and i first read the plate as "26 Town"
  14. How come it would detonate? Always just thought that you would lose performance as the car was not designed to use the low octane petrols, didnt know it was actually dangerous for the car..
  15. **(5) Also in terms of financing the vehicle, what is the best option? Broad question I guess, but say I have a $20,000 loan from Westpac, as the car is imported privately, they cannot secure it against the loan - this sort of sucks. Does anyone know what institutions do? Based on no security, for a 5-year repayment, including ALL sundry fees, the total repaid would be $27,950.00 - does this sound right? Does anyone know off-hand someone who could beat this?""** I borrowed, $20,000 also, and i will be paying back $27k aswell so that part is roughly correct (i borrowed from Commbank), difference being i boought a '97 R33 GTS4, althogh the car cost me only $13,600 i also paid 2k for insurance (first car,no driving history), $1400 for ICE plus alarm, $500 for custom plates. After getting the car i spent over $1000 in the first month just on fuel not counting all the going out i did when i was driving. So although $20k might be enough just for the car it probly wont be for all the other expenses that will come with it.
