  1. Hi all, I recently damaged one of my wheels and it is not fit for use thus i need a replacement. Unfortunately I'm having trouble sourcing a Enkei Rp03 18x9.5 to match my other 3... Does anyone have one for individual sale, or know a good place (local or international) where I might be able to acquire one? Thanks all Michael
  2. First of all u need to clue up mate...
  3. the heat shield... is that the turbo heat shield? will it fit a '97 series 2 r33 gts-t? if so, im interested.
  4. Todd, no sorry it wasnt 'nottieboy'. My seller didnt even give instructions! Lol but it wasnt stated in the product description so theres nothing i can do about that. These instructions here are great anyway, so i doubt the supplied ones would be any better, especially judging from your experience with the supplied instructions u receved. The 'lower bush (cap)' busting off your shifter doesnt sound to good so im not willing to take the chance of using the existing one. I am still to hear from the ebay seller, and im about to rage... will be logding a 'Item Not Received or Significantly Not as Described dispute' shortly if i do not get my part.
  5. Hi awesome write up =) I have just bought a short shifter off dodgy ebay. Anyway, the shifter does not have that white cylinder on the ball bit at the end that goes into the gearbox. I am reluctant to pull my existing shifter out without knowing whether or not I will be able to get this white cyclinder off the existing shifter and fit it to my short shifter. Does anyone know if this is possible? Currently im in the process of abusing the ebay user and telling them I havent received all parts that were pictured in the sale... However worst case scenario is the user will just ignore me and I probably wont get the part i need. Can anyone tell me if removing the cylindrical bit from the end of the stock shifter and plonking it onto the new shifter is possible and will work? Im guessing yes but I dont like it when im not 100% sure. Any help appreciated.
  6. Is this really sold? If so can some1 delete it.... its pi$$ing me off cos i wanted it but didnt find it in time...
  7. hey all, my s2 r33 was equipped with the factory option of gps with screen and cd stacker. the guy i purchased it off removed the screen and replaced with a head unit but the cd stacker was left in the boot. There is also a gay a$$ looking antenna stuk to the bottom left of the windscreen which stretches out bout 20cm up the edge of the windscreen and 20cm along the bottom edge. i wanna start removing some of this stuff to clean up the half a$$ed removal job of the previous owner. is it ok to just snip the antenna at the bottom of the windscreen where it starts to go into the dash and then just tuck the end in? could this also be done for all the wires leading to the stacker in the boot? Or are these wires used for any other stuff? any suggestions would be helpful... im pretty keen to just snip wires and hide them rather than fully removing the whole thing which seems to look like it would involve removing some interior panels and a lot of eff-a$$ing around. Cheers Michael
  8. what happens if u use a mineral oil instead of synthetic? what is estimated time/km's for sludge build up?
  9. ok kool thanx for the feedback guys, it is possible that it was doing it before i changed oils but didnt notice but im not totally sure, anyway i feel more comfortable now knowing it is normal as it does make sense i just didnt expect it to vary from 2 to 6. I will conduct more research on oil pressure and temp just for personal interest. Thanks a lot everyone
  10. My mate uses a MOTUL oil, i think it is called TurboCharge Light or something like that, not sure of its temp ratings but he reckons it is good shiz... but im not sure what his guage displays, i will have to ask him... how long have you been using that oil for and has this only just started happening to you to?
  11. Hey, Got first service since owning a r33. I dont know what oil the previous owner had in it but my mechanic (who is my dads mate) put Mobil XHP 15w-40 in it. Before having this service my oil pressure guage was mainly around the 4 mark. When cold & warm. Now since the oil change the needle is all over the joint. First thing in the morning the needle jumps right up to the bar between 4 and 8 and then after about 5 mins of driving comes down to the 4 mark, also if i drive for prolonged periods now (25 mins+) the stupid bar drops way down to the mark between 4 and 0. Is this oil rat shiz? Am I doing any dmg with this crap in my sump? What are regular needle readings for cold and warm? Cheers Mako
  12. Howdy, Just got a '97 series 2 r33. I'm still running stock turbo. My mate had a look at my car and told me I'm missing the stock turbo heat shield . Anyone else missing theirs? What are possible problems this could cause? : Cheers, Mako
  13. Hi all, recently looked at an '97 r33 gts-t series II. Its very standard apart from custom exhaust and cd player. Anyway, its a private sale and i got the seller to get an RACQ Master Check. The master check revealed that shocks and suspension needed work but the seller and I were already aware of this because he was getting a roadworthy for it the day before and his mechanic already notified us of this. Anyway other than that there is one hting on the report that is worrying me. In the final notes section of this RACQ report the inspector has said 'Chassis aligning clamp marks to right lower sill area' and then further on states 'repairs to various panels with preparation marks, paint finish variations'. The car drives fine and suspension doesn't make any funny sounds and the car is getting new suspension right now anyway. I'm just a bit concerned with the whole chassis aligning thing. Would there be any underlying problems that i should further look into even though the car feels fine? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.
