  1. i agree playing devils avocate in this conversation i still cant see any reason why this would work anybetter than a regular setup besides an slight increase in response.... well ill shoot for a V mount... maybe a Z mount even since id like to utilize the extra room...
  2. ok i double checked and my jap friend said that its true. run the intercooler behind the radiator is the way to go.. most people dont have the room so its not a possibility but with a set of electric fans (pulling air through) it should cool just fine and increase response. in addition i think some water-misters would do the trick nicely with cooling assist. i agree a V-mount is the best option... who knows i guess ill make a descision once it comes down to it... should be doing the swap in about 2 weeks, after i stitch-weld and paint the engine bay, and pretty up the motor a bit while its out.
  3. yeah but it has a temp-junk slip on it and needs a few new parts... plus all together i have two cars and one engine so one has to go... if someone wants a shell then more power to them but im taking everything...
  4. actually its more like a Chupathingy... haha
  5. yeah that was my next idea... not hard to do myself since i am a bracket-making-master haha.. and yeah ill be running water-misters since that is also easy to do.. and i have tons of room for a extra tank... but still not really i mean its still being cooled through the intercooler just not as much and im sure with the right fans you would see the response benefits..
  6. Dont get me wrong i may have gotten the translation wrong, but i have heard that by placing the FMIC behind the radiator will increase response. this is if you have the room to do so (with the SR i do). no i understand that it will shorten the intercooler piping length, bhut wont the excess heat just negate the added response? now i have enough cooling knowledge/techniques to keep an SR from ever over heating. but thats with the intercooler in the front...
  7. aahh yeah thats was addressed to quincy who put it for sale in this section... enjoy!
  8. you know that will fit all R32 skiylines...
  9. so you guys have passes? or are you just showing up friday for saturday?
  10. dude ill see what i can do..
  11. anybody gonna be there for FRIDAY?? i know theres some press-people here? Friday night ill be down to tear up the town...
  12. yeah you can change the engine its self im sure a RB26 would improve the performance a bit haha... you could use the turbo setup from a RB25 on your 20, also the tranny from a 25 is a bit stronger.
  13. yes partly true, but by upgrading to the Z32 Master cylinder your only increasing the flow rate due to the larger diameter of the cylinder its self. the compensation for this in the S13 Master which has a lower flow rate is the time of flow through the cylinder is increased. there for a longer time till the brakes are activated fully, longer pedal travel also. but due to the fact that the GTR brakes have the same diameter brake lines and just require more pedal travel, when bled properly the S13 MC will lock the brakes just the same with a slight delay that is... now if you want to get serious and you want equal pressure you need a brake proportioning valve...
  14. what EXHAUST is that or tip?? its just my style, gawd i feel like a women complementing shoes?! anyways who makes it Izumi, Trust, Dolce Gabana, Prada? no seriously though... oh per request heres a couple more shots of the Silfero... pressure washed the engine... how the shifter sits... its straight it just looks off-centered cause the radio bezel is off... S14 engine member... S14 Tranny mount, not sure who makes this.. and the ehxaust looks to be extended...
  15. i dunno i think if you can run an SR at a descent price and put all the motor weight behind the front axle then im all for it... we will see i guess
  16. not true.... stock can be used... his was just bad... i use the stock (s13 same) the only difference is about 2inches of extra travel. actually puts it at the right heighth to heel-toe, or clutch kick in a brake-drift. but for SOLID pedal feel upgrade the MC....
  17. yeah guys ill get pics up later in the week, gotta work sorry... few more pics... should be a fun project/// ill try to get it up on the rack and get pics of the mounts and such, later in the week like wenesday thurs...
  18. yeah new PARTS CAR woo hoo!! S14 engine and tranny swap.. HKS Intercooler (little bent but good) FRP hood and fenders... HKS coilovers Kazama tension rods Bride Seat Momo wheel black interior to replace my brown ugly interior.. $1000 putting al those parts on my car to make a sweet ride.... priceless..
  19. the cylinder is the only thing needed... it will feel fine if you just change that...
  20. S13 steel-braided lines will fit, the length is fine...
  21. bwah haha... i love it... i used bolt cutters and a torch... hehe
  22. ok ill put my 2 cents in since i have a NA cefiro with a GTSt 5lug and brake swap.... i had the same issue... My reason was my MS was clogged and needed a rebuild... the NA cefiro has a stock S13 size MS this will clamp the brakes with enough pressure to lock them (had to use the stock cause my GTSt MS was bad) but if you like super hard pedal then you should change it... note: a Z32 cylinder works also... u need the cylinder with two outlets for the front and one for the back... so good rule of thumb when looking for a new one.. oh and make sure you get a RHD cylinder haha i know how tempting those cheap z32 cylinders are on ebay haha... and a smarty remark... you can bleed brakes with only one person if you have one of these
