  1. Talk to Mick @ SVI (Special Vehicle Imports) on the northside. He has imported quite a few now including one of his own. Does a very good job
  2. Mate its seriously common practice with importing hey. Whether it be in Brisbane or in Japan, you'll never know i guess :S When i purchased my car, it had 3 gauges down the A-pillar with a boost controller and few other gadgets and bits installed. However when i got my car....no EBC, no Guages, no Nismo gear knob and i had a totally cratched out arm rest insert where the electric window controllers are. Really really lame....i went to the importing company and said i was going to take out a claim, they quoted me more than the shipping costs. GG. Just gotta live with it unfortunantly
  3. I still have no idea why it would take that long to get a plate sent to you. 2 - 3 weeks is just ridiculous. I had mine done @ SVI here in bris and Mick had he applications papers already processed when my car was being worked on, then the engineer's report and roadworthy were sent. Plate arrived the next day. Yes i paid more for my compliance, but im glad i did knowing you guys have to wait 3 weeks for your car to be registerable.
  4. Hey guys, I have a full set of fully functional R33 Hydraulic lifters for sale. They have done 125,xxx k's and have no sign of giving out at all. Price: $250 for the lot. (firm) Location: St Lucia, Brisbane. Contact Sam via PM or on 0422 103 906 Cheers guys. (Pics available upon request)
  5. I'll take just the long motor for $1500. Anyone wanna split the difference for cluth/box? p.s. still available?
  6. 2 - 3 weeks? Your compliance workshop open @ 11 and close at noon or something? Mine got in on a tuesday and I was plated and registered by friday. Drove home friday night. Give your workshop plenty of heads up and f theyre organised, the compliance papers will be in canberra as your vehicle arrives =)
  7. I have the same problem, except the fact mine persists throughout the drive. It'd been going on for ages and its so freaking annoying. I have used all types of oils and treatments and nothing works, i bought new lifters and have yet to have them installed. Yet my mechanic thinks it's injectors now, after i found out my last mechanic had not tightened my exhuast manifold, and the gasket perished...so half the ticking noise was that. Solution: Buying a new head, and putting all the new shit in it outside of the current engine, and a simple replacement. Sick of trouble shooting feckin head issues, this noise has pissed me off. Almost pushed me to selling >.< Good luck with yours, by the sounds of it you need some thicker oil dude. Lifter treatment thins the oil out more to unclog them, and i doubt thats your problem. Thicker oil and you'll be sweet.
  8. Hahahahahahaahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
  9. I thought it was sweet how they have gotten half the House cast to be in game generals
  10. i used a cometic head gasket in my forged rebuild. Slightly bored and honed bottom end with arias pistons etc etc....beuat compression and no leaks. But i went slightly oversized
  11. Sup benno, my 33 goes in...and with a bit of luck, will come out of the workshop on thursday....And its been a while since everything in my car has been tip top. So ill be keen as mustard to get out for a drive
  12. Hehe for $310 i think ur gonna get owned
  13. Stock cars at stock height without guages attract much less attention. Wharfies have a job to do in a short amount of time, so whil its in their hands, it won't be treated as if your driving it. Thus not having little guages and electronic boxes hanging off the interior is a good thing as to the wharfies, they see it as a nice little weely wage booster after putting them on Ebay Just be patient as possible NISMO But ur in a good position with a stock car.
  14. Id suggest going to the naturally aspirated performance thread and having a read through the stickied thread man, lots of info from very knowledgable people in there

    My R33

throw a FMIC in behinda that front bar and itll look alot...whats the word...stronger.
  16. Take a photo of your motherboard, pst it on here...and we wil tell you. OR tell us the brand and model of your motherboard and we will tell you
  17. Yeh Razor brings up a good point. I can't even remember who i used now But i had heard what goes on at the docks, so i chose to import a very standard looking 33 without all the gadgets Let us know what happens man, i'd be interested to know.
  18. What the? I didn't know my mother had anything to do with it...i had no prob with my rebuild. I just got a f**ked engine from the start when i bought it. Should have had more shit done to the head while the engine was out, but finiances didn't permit But looks like ppl have taken the truth and bended it again, gotta love the coast
  19. Kiwi should have an affiliated Insurer. No point trying to bargain, they'll just give you off to another shipping company Is yours coming over in a container or Roll on / Roll off ?
  20. Get Insurance. In short, if the ship sinks....everyone without insurance will be slogged partly for the recovery of all the things on the ship. Really weird, but totally worth it.
  21. Yep it is, i got too, now my head is f**ked >.< But yer, this thread still fails. P.S. how did i stir you up Mr. 20% Warning after 1 week!!?
  22. Buy one locally in aust now i reckon, prices have plumitted. Plus unlike the experiences i had, you can see and drive the car, take it to a mechanic and all other things before you buy it Otherwise you might get the "one-in-a-million" car with a f**ked engine like i did
  23. Im trying to find in his original post where it asked for opinions? Anyway, i did see where he asked if anyone had seen it around...and yes i have seen it before on vivagarage.com.au - check it out, for memory its normally something on special order champ
  24. this thread fails.
  25. i like the colour alot, i would just get rid of the number plate border....looks a bit..trashy, i dunno meh, wings are always disputed, but it kinda suits the styling of the car..so i guess its cool Nice work man.
