  1. Simply, Rebuild it dude. Had the same problem with my rb25...what ull find is a second hand engine with a limited warranty will set you back at least 2.5k and u just dont know what your getting :S Rebuild it with decent parts and have yourself a quality engine
  2. u naughty wet weather warriors you!
  3. Let me know how you get on please.
  4. Objects in bold could be a problem to complete.
  5. I'm gonna eat pie.
  6. Spotted old mate 32GTR /w gold rims behind me on the way to work this morning....was next to a dude on a suzuki gsx-r doing wheelies all the way down the highway, couldnt hold it for very long but
  7. Blitz Spec-S Single Solenoid.
  8. got 2000's on mine, sweet as.
  9. girls? You meana pamela, yes? Come for a drive, and find someone who can fit my boost controller!
  10. Well the majority of them are normal people, just sometimes when they throw on the uniform their mentality changes.
  11. Same as what i got, not hard to find if you do your esearch really. loooooool
  12. Bro, be very very careful with your boost levels once you have your dump pipe put on. If you fook around with your boost after ur dump pipe is put on, your gonna put ur turbo at risk. A good mod to do when u do a dump pipe is an electronic boost controller. Your not your gonna get boost spikes if this is done, and your turbo will love you forever. But yes, you will notice a decent difference. Turbo will spool up much quicker.
  13. fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuckyer!
  14. you thought about the in-car controlled silencing valve exhaust fitting? t'is an electronic setup you add between ur cat and rear muffler/cannon that opens and closes (not all the way closes) a valve that quietens/amplifies the sound of your exhaust. Might be cheaper for you if ur purchasing a new muffler with fitting fee's aswell. Just a thought.
  15. About $600-$700 for a 33 turbo...that about right?
  16. Yeh exactly. It also depends on what he wants to do with the engine. He may not have to change his cranks. Plus labour varies from state to state and region to region dependant on who you use. So for what i got for 4k, in most places would cost 5-6k. But im a big fan of rebuilding 25s when they near 100,xxx....If u want decent power, make the whole engine fresh, not just the head. But your right Nismoid, if it aint broke, why fix it? But id still be ripping off the head and looking for those signs that lead towards a future rebuild
  17. So what is the deal there with doing it? I've been told in some cases, companies send you a hi-flowed turbo and in return u send them yours plus cash their way....is this right?
  18. Why spend the cash on a decent turbo when u'll only be able to run it @ 16psi max?
  19. Wanna see receipts?
  20. If your being slugged 7k to build a motor ur taking it to the wrong place.
  21. And dont buy another car, especially after u know the history of what you have. Starting again sucks.
  22. Don't listen to them arggggh!! Got 90,xxx+ km's on it? Rebuild it. Simple. If i see another person spend 10 grand+ on bolt ons im gonna scream. It's just dumb...ull high flow ur turbo, run higher boost, throw an fmic on it, with a decent new exhaust, new ECU and then after u run 20psi thru stock internals u'll wonder why 10,xxx km's later why your bottom end is f**ked. Be smart. Make yourself a decent building block. Forge ur bottom end, make it strong. $4k on forged rebuild with new metal head gasket, replace everyting. New bearings, machine ur cranks etc etc. $900 on PFC (if u can find one) $700 on a decent FMIC kit. Dont but hybrid generic shit. $900-$1500 on a decent exhaust. Once you have done this u can buy a much bigger turbo and gaining power will be easy. Bolt on, and ull regret it =)
  23. Yeh the cops are really 'cracking down' on modded cars of late. I actually walked up and had a chat to a young cop in mooloolaba last thursday night who was radaring (sp) on parkyn parade...and i just asked him if he were the type of cop to defect/book young drivers for what seem to be very mild acts of stupidity and/or minor ADR infringements. And his response was something along the lines of, "i appreciate cars as much as any of you guys, i wont defect you for having a loose pod filter or a loud BOV...as i know they are pretty well harmless." and followed by "But its when you guys do the stupid sh!t, time and time again...expecially after all the media coverage, young drivers continue to do it." So basically he said that, yes the force is cracking down on young drivers and yes that means modded cars are an easier target. He also said that there are officers on the force who are very biased when it comes to this, but they are generally the ones who are family/friends of kids who have died of late in crashes caused by speeding/drunkeness etc etc... Clearly it was a revenue-raiser booking cars outside of quad park. But the rest is something to think about i guess...
  24. yeh i did the same as u bsurk...drive by along nicklin @ 20km/h and realised id seen most of the cars anyway and that $20 for entry was ridiculous...kept going and spent $2 on a slurpee, much more satisfying
