  4. I dont want to offend anyone here, but you must be a few sandwiches short of a cut lunch if your speeding ona space saver...honestly. thoughts go out to the driver, but damn son.
  5. Same deal by the sounds. Myself and a mate worked on his 32 with the same problem...open up the circuit board, find the related areas to the window respectively, and check for corrosion and rust. If so, cut it off, burn up some new solder and drip her on. Make sure there is oodles of power going to it aswell. if these things are ok, theyll shoot up and down in a jiffy.
  6. dude. Name the beer and its done.
  7. Wes is that you bro? Its sam dude....sammy douglas. Yours is the silver 33? fmic etc etc? i used to work at all dig bla bla....
  8. I doubt Hakai will be attending i got news today he was in a nose2tail... FMIC is F'd in the A, and other minor panel damage. No insurance either the silly boy.
  9. Man, i know u said dont say put any of the 12k away for savings. But i would spend 6-8k on legit/legal engine mods, along with a nice stezza and make it tidy, clean and shaped. Make your car looks sweet as without going overboard. Bottom line is that u dont get ur dosh back on mods. Save some cash for a rainy day, or if (god forbid) something went wrong. My 2cents
  10. Deal! See ya in a couple of weeks
  11. Hey guys, First of all, not too sure if this is the right place to post this...but its a fairly general topic so i thought why not ------------------------------ Here's the story. I have bought myself an r33 and atm i have a landcruiser with a cadence sub n amp setup (very dodgy home setup)....now seeing im getting a respectible car i decided i wanted to do everything professionally. Therefore i rang up a few more noteworthy places on the Sunshine Coast for some installation quotes (won't say who) Now, probably the bigger of the two places in maroochydore quoted me $369 dollars to install my Sub and Amp (remembering i have all the gear, the sub, the ampm the wiring etc etc). So run a few cables make it look neat, i thought this was bullsh!t. So i rang the second place in nambour = $110....this i thought was much more reasonable ------------------------------ Since talking to a few people up here amongst friends, they have been telling me its such an easy job, dont pay anyone to do it bla bla bla. What is everyone's experience with these installs? easy enough...? Or does anyone want to help me do it if they know what theyre doing!!? of course beer and steak would be involved hehe. thanks fellas Sam.
  12. Hi guys, I just bought my first skyline, at present its sitting at the docks in japan waiting for its ship to leave on the 20th of this month! high res pics can be viewed here: http://www.j-spec.com.au/clients/5478 its a 94 33gts-t type m with just over 100k's on it....stock as a rock apart from rims, pretty good find i thought let me know what u think !
  13. Man, props to your interior! Looks great
  14. Yeh man, ever since the car has been paid for ive been checking my watch every 5 minutes hey >.< !! Im at the very top of buderim, so its not far to jump on the motorway or down the back way through maroochydore for a cruise Can't wait man
  15. Hey cogs, thanks heaps for the quick reply dude. Ok your questions ummmm.... + I beleive compliance includes a standard emissions test, and in order to pass they have to change all the fluids bla bla bla. So dunno if theyd use decent products, probably worth asking + The 33 is costing me $12,600 landed and complied, so far the car, the compliance and all the nitty gritty has been paid for. Just the shipping fee's to come once its landed 111,000kms on the clock and the video of it on the dyno showed it @ 194kW's....so not too shabby for a 94 model i thought. No engine mods, 17" volk racing rims and newish tyres. =)
  16. Hey insomniac, I get my 94 model 33 in under a month and i have been doing the research on steering wheels as well =) i also live on the coast, so we should go for a cruise! So yeh, any import with a factory steering wheel fitted with an airbag that is replaced with a steering wheel without is grounds for a defect. However, i dont like the 93/94 model steering wheels in the 33's, so mine is coming off and ill be taking the risk Same with the gear knob.
  17. Hey Guys, Just registered here and im probably gonna be posting a fair bit around here now cause for a long time now i have waited for my r33 to come from Japan and finally, it will be here on august 7! Very excited, i have dealt with J-spec and they have been great....just wanting a bit of advice once it lands here and i have it on the road By the way, pics can be viewed here: www.j-spec.com.au/clients/5478 Ok so the car lands on the 7th, is complied and registered on the 15th. Should i take the car to a mechanic straight away for a full service and clean up? or does compliance take care of that? Premium or normal fuel? every 5000kms for a service or a bit longer? is bumping up the boost a couple of psi a bad idea on a stock turbo? is anyone selling a rear lip wing for the top of the boot to replace the wing? and is anyone on the sunshine coast here a big enthusiast as myself about skylines? -------------- Some answers would be great If you can think of anything else i might to to consider, please do let me know cheers guys.
