Hi Guys, If you have been following my thread in the QLD section you would know about this event and hopefully already be marking off the night on your calendar as you will be attending!! If you have not, then be aware that this meet is to get SAU members out meeting up in good spirits, enjoy a few drinks and a meal, a coffee or whatever we please really. Partners and Friends are very welcome, the only thing you need to bring is a good attitude and be willing to have a chat to some people with some common interests Please see the details below... Wednesday Night Meet #1 Details: Place: Pig 'n Whistle Indooroopilly (Indro Shoppingtown). Corner of Station and Musgrave Road. Time: 7.30pm in the Outdoor Bar (Street side of the pub, near the ATM's and foodcourt entrance). When: Wednesday 10th September. By 7.30 peak hour is well and truly over which is typically quieter on a Wednesday anyway. This is a social event that will hopefully grow to be a fortnightly meet and continue to see more people attend each time it is held! Everyone is welcome along with partners and friends, just bring your friendly attitude. There is obviously plenty of parking, and at 7.30 the Musgrave Road side of Indro Shoppingtown will have plenty of parks for the Skylines to line up next to each other which is perfectly lit and in sight of their owners, even while dining in the restaurant ....and please, anyone who will be attending, be on your best behavior when arriving and leaving the complex....so keep any spirited driving at bay! Funky is right guys. What my initial plans was/is to have an initial meet up at one location for drinks or dinner just to guage who would be interested for a casual mid-week meet. Now, there is no reason we can't all go for a cruise somewhere afterwards. Would you guys be keen for a meet 'n greet first for coffee or food, then motor off for a cruise somewhere? I think that would be ideal first so we can gauge what type of turn out we will get week to week....

I'm keen to go anywhere tbh, I live at Kangaroo Point so I'm fairly central to anything/anywhere we want to go...but I do like going up into the mountains every now and again. What about you...any spots that you're keen on? Where do you have to come from anyway?

Yeah sounds good about the pig 'n whistle funky, even if some people just have a few drinks while others eat some red meat, that'd be fine. And there is a vego menu as well:) I was going to make the executive decision and make it a Wednesday night being that Thursday does seem to be the night for Police to come out with their defect bat... We'll make the first one Wednesday next week which will give us time to round up a few more people, I'll post up the meet in the event section. (10th Sept 7.30pm) Who is keen to have something at Pig N' Whistle @ Indooroopilly Shoppingtown? It has plenty of parking for everyone, close-ish to the City, and we could go for a run up Mt Coot-tha afterwards

Wicked, sounds like we might be able to get a decent amount of people each week. I doubt it would be anything huge, but as long as we can go somewhere for dinner or a coffee I think it'd be alright. Im in the same boat as you funky, i got a new engine going in hopefully this week, but like anything i'm sure there will be delays What does everyone else think?

Thanks for the feedback guys Funky I used to live out your way and there used to be a bunch of people meet up at the carpark where sizzler used to be on marshall lane, good meeting spot imo. But if anyone is keen to do weekly or monthly meets i'd love to try and organise something. Even if we meet somewhere fairly central and go for a short drive somewhere to sit down and have a coffee....it'd be nice to get chatting with some people in the SAU Community:) What would everyone think of something like wed/thurs nights? We could meet in the Suncorp Stadium carpark on the Paddington side (away from the Milton Macca's bogans) and just go for a drive from there. Mt Coot-tha is close, could also go North from there straight up Hale Street as well. Sound good? P.S. I'd be looking to make it a regular thing so you'd have to bring your welcoming/nice attitude and not be an idiot on the road if/when we do go for a cruise.

I looked around for one of these for a while and Viva Garage did on in carbon and (no offense) doesnt fit like shaunsr33 one either. I saw pictures of them installed on some r33's and they came out the same way. You better off paying $200 for the Stealth Wing man.

Excuse my ignorance, but who is ''the corrupt crew'? If there anything like the people I met once from boostcruising, ill be steering well clear.... But surely there some SAU meet ups every now and again? I saw Mud organise to go have coffee there last week, and i thought there used to be a dinner some weeks as well.....none of that ever happens anymore?

Hey Guys, I've been living back in Brisbane for over 18 months now, to which the majority of the time my R33 has been off the road and with this I never really got into the car scene much down here...But the car will be on the road again in the coming weeks, so im looking at getting into it again. Does anyone have regular meets during the week? I remember parking up at Mt Coot-tha with the gf on a thursday night a long while ago and there was quite a crowd of car nuts getting coffee's and what not....what's the go, does much happen anymore? Back when I was living on the North Coast every Thursday night was the go, what about down here? Cheers, Sam

Hey Mx Pwr, My Fanny was right, the stainless split dump in the picture you supplied has the wastegate gases venting into the atmosphere (aka a screamer) which is highly allegal and annoyingly noisy. Anyway, I have used both setups on my 33 and I'd recommend using the split-pipe for sure and just get a dump pipe that will piggy back off the back of the split. And if you're replacing the stock pipe you should notice a slight increase in boost as well =)

That's a good question! New one I just bought off an Import Auto Wrecker in 17 Mile Rocks just as a plain Bare Long Motor with no such plans as the last engine. SPeaking of which was rebuilt after 117k's and had all new bearings, forged pistons with plans of high mounted turbo's etc etc all the goodies, and then the crank died. Tick, tick, tick, tick, tick BANG! So that dead motor is in there now and im ripping it out, throwing in the new long motor and putting all my other stuff on it, manifold, turbo, coilpacks etc etc So just looking at getting it back on the road and reliable again basically. Then there are a few bumps and scratches on rear bar that magically appeared after I had it towed a few months ago....but the towing company knew nothing about it. hmmm.....so they are going to fixed up as well. Yay :S But then it's back in my baby and spening lots of $$ on fuel again woohoo!
