dont want to sound like the biggest noob but how can i tell if it been chipped? what else can i look for that may not be obvious....anything i can look into to check if it has been modified? either way im happy with the result.....hopefully i can turn it into a 12 sec run....next wednesday ill give it a crack....

well i was completely pleased with my result....didnt think i would take the 33 stock turbo category with so small mods. didnt hang around so i missed the prizes... mods to date Split dump, 3" system, hi flow cat Just jap fmic greddy profec B at 12psi(drops to 10psi) Made 202.6rwkw.

always found an engine was fairly high on the checklist... there is heaps of info on what to look for.....

2rismo i thought that a smaller wheel would improve the power output. dont think it will be worth it though. What kind of impact does fuel have on output? has anyone tried running different types of fuel? also can u use nos on a dyno? that would be crazy....

i have to change my rims for the skid pan day next weekend eventually, and at the drags i have light stock rims, thought id match power. also it aint cheating, maximising....why spend money on mods when you couldnt care less to change rims to maximise power output. Mainly i was curious at how much power would be eaten up.....you lose quite alot from the engine to wheels and was interested where it was lost the most and where i could save it....

got free tickets so im going to the dyno day and then turn up here later....should be a good day

the bigger wheels you have the more power you get. same with chrome. Thats why people go bigger and bigger wheels thse days....not becaues they look cool, only the cool people know they add at least 30kw for every size up. who needs bigger turbos when you can get the same power with 2" larger wheels Thanks for your lovely comments.....i was asking a serious question....how much power is lost with big wheels as power is lost from the engine to the gearbox, diff etc....my bro reckons it will have a fairly significant effect and suggests that I change my wheels before going to get a bigger figure...

anyone know anything about how much power is lost with defference between wheels? 19"275 to 16"205?

I got a m60s installed on the weekend, $380 so Im happy with that. now i can sleep a lil easier at night...

got a question for ya.....power is lost from the engine to the wheels because of gearbox, diff, etc.....what power is lost with the wheels? how much power will be lost having massive 19" 275 compared to stock 16" 205?

at 170kw i was running regular 13.8 on 275 35 19 at 103.5 mph 103.5 was always my trap speed, times where just 60ft and slightly on effeincy of gear changes....but mainly 60ft

they will run in 4th gear....closest ratio. looking forward to see the magna. my bro is a magna fan.....drives a fagna. he got done doing 140 on green p's on easter long weekend.....walking for 6 months... What mods have u got to get to 200kw? ill give u a run for your money....I got exhaust, fmic, pod, and boosted to 12psi.....fingers crossed its around 200.

I had a completely stock 33 and i got a 13.7 on 19x275 and a 13.4 on drag radials...... not fmic, boost 12psi should see closer to 13.0 @ 108mph. only run the new set up twice...massive bog down first run....2.3 60ft for a 13.5 @ 106.5mph and 2nd run great start on street tyres 2.0 60ft but stuffed up 4th gear change and crossed the line in 3rd at 103mph with 13.3....a good run should break me into the 12's

yep droping oil this weekend, do a service it i think.....havent changed the spark plugs on a skyline yet.....anyone know the easiest way to get in their? havent tried yet, is the plastic cover hard to get off? Also the plastic guards are under the oil filter, anyone know a trick way to change the oil filter withour droping oil onto the plastic? cant clean that up and will drop oil everywhere when i drive and on the driveway. what sparkies should i get? can you just go to repco and ask for r33 skyline, cause its an import do they stock the parts? Prob should have put this in the right section to get an answer...oh well too lazy....

this has taken ages to come around....been looking forward to the day for ages now....fingers cross it wont be as hot as last time.....we all died in the heat and alot got sunburnt....

seroiously get an exhaust, even if that blows ur budget u will have improved ur performance by a decent amount. i put on an exhaust from dead stock and it went from 144rwkw to 169. i got a twin dump pipe, 3" system with high flow cat....cost me 1350 with dyno before and after.....opened her right up...got me to a 13.4 down the qtr mile.....

should have included some of our vids of the skid pan day in ur little video....had heaps of sau ppl out there...
