I have no idea.. it's just got the manufacturer plate on it, no compliance plate.. I'm told it is an earlier one, series 1.. it has the blue instument cluster, smooth finish on several interior items, and RB20 stamped on the cam cover... so you tell me.. sorry i couldn't be more precise

i have the centre air vents for the dash, in good condition.. i'm reluctant to separate this from the dash, but pm me and we can talk. plastic surround for stereo sold. plastic surround for gear shift boot, sold. danke, kris.

Will do i'm getting the run around by a mob that's meant to be paying me to take out my old motor and gbox this week, which they get to keep at the end.. seems they're too busy for me either way its coming out this weekend so prolly get a mate to help me drop it out. i'm gonna buy an engine crane this week too, if anyone has one they wanna sell plz let me knoowwwww... old motor and gbox has to be sold too, otherwise is gonna take up too much garage space.. ask around for anyone that might want one (1993 318i M40 motor, 4spd auto tranny.. all good working order, just really really really slooooww.. 120hp stock from memory!)

HEAPS MORE PARTS STILL AVAILABLE, including a 1993 bmw 318i motor and auto transmission in good condition (no electrics supplied, but still in car for a few more days so you can test it out..) If you sell this for me, i wil PAY YOU commission, just coz i'm nice..! << i wanna get at least something for it, so like 500 bucks or something for the lot.. i dont know, just ask around and we'll go from there.. >> kris.

I should also mention that the aircon pump wont be going into the conversion, big call i know, but after much deliberation i've decided the cost of hooking it up, and any associated problems with it isn't worth the addition effort/cost, hence the photo of the front of the engine.. make an offer for the pump.. i have no idea if it works or not as the condenser was missing in the cut.. one photo contains pwr steering pump which i wont be selling. gracias, kris.

Does that plenum suit the rb20 as well?? or are they different?

Well i've already paid for the front cut, and i'll be getting the stuff out that i require (motor, mounts, box, ecu + wiring..) so the rest of it doesn't owe me anything really.. i'm not looking to "make" money here, just get rid of anything i can.. how do you put a price on an item where you first dont know the value, and secondly want to get rid of it asap (make it CHEAP is a good idea, but what is cheap when you dont know the value of it to begin with!!?).. maybe i should just quote this: all offers considered! kris

I'm in the process of doing a conversion, hence i have a front cut with alot of bits and pieces that i wont really be needing: as seen in the pic, there's no panels, brakes, shocks, headlights, etc.. but it has 87k's on the clock (and log books!! though i can't read them..) Interior pieces like the climate control panel, entire dash (in GC) are all there.. even shtuff like pedals (like new), clutch master cylinder, brake master cylinder/booster, blower for aircon, wipers/wiper motor.. just ask and i'll check if it's still on there... prices start from 8,000 YEN.. which is like 40c right? all r welcome to come and see it to salvage bits off her.. also have std intercooler and piping, air box with a pretty dirty filter.. this beast was completely stock when i got it apart from a dodgy alarm and t. timer (timer not for sale). see pics for more detail, or pm me with any questions..

nah - once i got the front cut home i took off the cooler and plumbing, and the afm/airbox so i could get my hands around motor to see engine mounts, etc.... so it's still there just not fitted atm. Anyways, i called the mob where i got the cut from, and they quoted 150 for a whole shaft (no main bearing i assume).. sound reasonable? Does anybody know how well the rb20 boxes hold up with a bit of power behind them? I read somewhere (commodore forum or something) that they take 140rwkw, and this guy has 187rwkw and is complaining that it's not coping real well... Is this true? i've seen some dyno results of these motors, 200rwkw+ seems to be the norm for a mildly tuned motor, and i assume they're still using the stock boxes..

Your intake plenum looks like a low cost option for those of us that want front mounts without the mass of intercooler plumbing.. what sort of money would a setup like that cost?? Isn't the fuel feeder/return for the injector rail mounted on the end of it? how did you get around that? kris.

I'm looking for an r32 tailshaft (to suit 5 spd, if they differ at all from the auto one, probably shorter or something), as in my other thread. Its for a conversion in progress, and need it asap danke, kris.

evening all, I'm new to sau, and i'm not sure that i fully qualify to be a member - yet... i've got a r32 front cut awaiting to be transplanted into the bimmer, both share the same garage, and ... like a dog waiting for an operation for a bad hip, the bimmer anxiously awaits the arrival of the new organs, namely an RB20DET with a 5 speed (currently the bm is an old 4spd auto, 1.8L 4cyl, sohc!!) The only thing i'm waiting on are a few things coming from ebay (intercooler, muffler/cat, some other bricka brack..) and the FRONT SECTION OF AN r32 TAILSHAFT... does anybody have one of these? Some of the cuts i looked at were complete, but i got a good deal on the one i have due to missing front section (rad/condenser etc.. and no tailshaft.) I'm in algester, and require a tailshaft asap due to project starting next week after the current motor/tranny comes out of the bimmer... Let me know if you got any ideas..
