  1. I rarely post q's on this forum, but thought there might be some useful bits of information to come from you members about baffle design.. since i know a few of you have track cars, etc.. first thing to note, this is for my BMW, so the sump is a REAR bowl type arrangement, not mid/front like the rb26. The 3d render is suited to the RB26 block while allowing for the position of the oil pickup. note the downward slope of the 'wings' on the baffle, this allows oil to flow quickly back into the reservior, and assist with keeping oil down during braking/corner/accel any thoughts welcome... i'm still in the planning stages while the sump ring gets back from the laser cutter Cheers, Chris.
  2. for those interested, blog updated with progress on the build -> www.drydenmotorsports.com
  3. sure bud i'll take a shot when i get home this arvo EDIT - you're from sydney hey? it's probably worth you seeing a local wrecker rather than forking out for postage.. i paid 120 for a rad from a 32 gtr @ a wrecker (which later died and had to be replaced with the one i'm trying to sell here..)
  4. R33 GTS-T Radiator Good condition, pics on request, was removed as a perfectly working unit but upgrading to 52mm alloy radiator for track work. $80 pickup only from Algester (south brisbane area) offers considered

  6. cheers, its actually been a pretty smooth build, since we did the conversion to rb20 first back in 2006, it paved the way for any rb motor conversion, so the 26 build has been a breeze (though costly!) power to weight and cost to performance, i really can't complain - still is cheaper than an M3 conversion (which would have grabbed me ~200rwkw) the only problem we keep running into is the capability of the stock diff's, and lack of diff upgrade options for these cars ($1100 for a used LSD with 3.4:1 gears, would be crap behind the 25 box, so another $400 for 4.10's plus resizing the tailshaft to suit..) one diff from the stock 318i (open centre) lasted me 2 1/2 years before giving up the ghost, so they are stong from factory, however not suited to track work, and i still dont have an LSD... will definitely want one by the time the 26 is on the road.
  7. just wanted to put up some fab shots of the piping.. i'll ask my mate for bigger pics! the entire build can be found http://forums.eurocca.net/showthread.php?t=17736&page=14
  8. i'm part-way through my new project bmw build which previously had an RB20 (QLD plates: RBE36). New engine is RB26 using the stock turbo's for now. all the work is done by myself and 3 mates who dont take things too seriously, most of our inspiration comes in liquid form available from the bottle-o -> www.drydenmotorsports.com we make a few products including battery relocation kits and alloy/steel intake kits for mitsubishi EVO 4 to 6. anyway just a couple of pics of recent pipework we did on the BMW, in 3 inch alloy. Have also just completed full stainless exhaust including front pipes/dumps will post pics of that when i take some Chris. EVO 4 to 6 intake pipe: RBE36 (E36 bmw w/RB26):
  9. CEF11E tuned the old rb20 in my bmw taking it from ~130rwkw to 170rwkw running basic mods and stock turbo.. obviously very noticeable gains..! Have moved onto rb26 now, but definately would recommend this service to anyone chasing power from their 20..
  10. hey tiff i'd luv some too for the beema..!
  11. regardless, if i handed over cash for something, i really couldn't care much about how smashed the seller got over the weekend..! as a regular buyer (and seller) i hate coming second after the seller's 'other' comittments. if your too busy, sell it when you have time to complete the transaction from start to finish.
  12. I've been looking for the below parts for ages, if i can avoid visiting the wrecker, i will! so here's what i'm looking for.. 17. sick tyres have some on my bmw
  18. PM sent, i'll take the water pump if it's a nissan item and suits R32 rb26 cheers ;-)
  19. ECU sold, will sell loom for $100
  20. r32 gts-t (rb20det, manual) ECU and LOOM ECU is chipped and made 225rwhp (about 170rwkw) at 1 bar, completely stock turbo and engine (just exhaust and intake mods). ran nice 11.5:1 to 12:1 which resulted in a meatier midrange, took my 318i to 13.2s 1/4 mile out at willowbank in street trim/tyres. Rev limit lifted to 7600rpm, no speed limit set. Loom is 'plug and play' to suit any car. I have isolated the power wires which are necessary to run the rb20det. want to put rb20 in your VL/BMW/Bus? then this is what you want!! i've done all the hard work, you just connect a few wires (like 4 or 5) and the ecu/eccs/fuel pump will have power when you hit the key. Loom doesn't include sensors or coilpack harness. I want $250 for the lot. Pickup from algester (south brisbane area). PM or SMS me for questions. Chris - 0422 933 217
  21. listing this separately for the qld users, only want $500 for the lot, you can find details in my other SAU thread General SAU Classifieds
