  1. Some car CD players have trouble if the disc is not burnt with the 'Disc at Once' option ie you use track at once, multi-sessions or change the track spacing time from the default 2 seconds. as was mentioned earlier try a commercial disc to check the operation. Usually it is the 'track at once' option that causes it not to work on older alpine head unit.
  2. An important thing to remember is that if your insurance policy specifies an australian standards certified immobiliser then make sure the one you buy one that meets the standard otherwise you will not be covered for theft (unless you have a separate A.S. immobiliser as well). Not all alarms; even locally sold ones meet the standards.
  3. I also agree about the quality of Chris's work - I could have had the auto-electric place around the corner from my place install an alarm, but i too decided to travel a quite a few suburbs to get Chris to do mine; it essentially came down to reading the opinions on this site and then i figured I want someone who appreciates cars the same way I do to be working on mine and yup the work was neat and tidy. It's that little extra peace of mind you get when the quality of the install is done very well. I guess you just got to ask yourself - do you want someone working on your car who has had the quality of their work verified by multiple sources or do you want to take a chance with someone else?
