  1. hers some facts for you guys. im at theh 2nd stage of the 3 stage process. i have passed stage 1 and stage 2 audit,so i am now virtually iso9001,im awaiting the inspection of my sample vehicle from the people in canberra and then we can start importing and complying. vehicle must be standard,incl bodykits,exhaust etc,etc and have no history of damage. when a import application is sent to canberra it has to have auction report and a signed declaration from the seller in japan listing non standard items and previous accident repairs. under the previous cpa system,all cars were supposed to be standard also,but was never inforced,yet to be seen if this will be the case under the new system. but we have been told random checks from canberra are likely. costs will definately be higher,the labour and paperwork are considerably more,for instance new genuine brake pads $320,carbon cannister-$250 etc. at this stage it looks like we may have to invest $15k on a epa type noise tester.
  2. hi aybee, curious to read some of your comments. which car is yours,always interested to hear when somebody isnt satisfied. we dont prime repeater hole as it has a rubber seal on the repeater. seems strange that we wouldnt put a dimmer in an existing hole,is it in a similar position to the one we fitted.is there clearance at the back of the hole to fit a dimmer switch. if the cat is fitted upside down we can have that fixed for you no problem,my contact details are below if you want me to organise it for you with regards to tuning,we dont struggle to do tuning,because we simply dont do it,unlike others we wont fiddle with things we are not equipped to do. we only do compliance,mechanical repairs,servicing and upgrades.

  7. it has nothing to do with inflating prices. av price will be $4000-$5000. costs will be much higher. brake pads,expensive cat convertors,pollution canisters,just to name a few. also most shops will need to employ a book keeper to do all the paperwork required. all equipment needs to be tested and logged. its nothing like the old system,mountains of paperwork etc. the costs will be higher and i doubt we will make anymore money on a $4000 compliance job,compared to a $2200 job under the old system.
  8. clip either side of rear seat a decent yank from both sides will free the seat. put ur hand between seat and carpet and lift up,you have to do from both sides. basically get in the car put ur ass against the back of the frt seats bend over and yank the seat up.

  10. i like the blue too,i sold it because an old fella in sydney made me an offer too good to refuse and when it came time to find a replacement decided i didnt want the same color. it was quicker 335kw than this one ,but a bit hard core too,this will be under 300kw but will drive like a stocker and not attract as much attention. still too early on the raws. we have passed our stage 1 audit,stage 2 audit is 20th may,once we pass that we will be good to go.
  11. i fitted a hks twin in a r33gtr yesterday and its very soft and take up is very close to the floor
  12. ive used them all,my order of preferance for an everydayer. nismo twin plate os giken twin plate-sprung centre os giken solid centre hks are nasty especially with solid centre. agura--nasty any button single is gunna be nasty also ive used os triple and hks triple,os is much more user friendly. if my wife was driving i would only go a single if it was standard heavy duty not button.

  17. u dont need to bleed to get the piston back,just leave an old pad on the piston side and use a g-clamp to slowly push the pistons back
  18. 5000km service should only be oil and filter,but it depends how many kms your car has done. depending on what oil u want,we generally use penrite hpr10, if you want different oil we can do that too. oil change with genuine nissan filter--$60 this includes a safety check also. if anybody needs simple quotes like this please drop me an email.   19. dont like to do things half assed,were fully setup now and got a qualified mechanic now,wouldnt give my car to someone not qualified and wouldnt work on others cars without a qualified person either.
