  1. just havin a lend of ya s/k. so what do u think, give me your impressions, bearing in mind, the aim was to get around 400kw.
  2. for comparison sake, here is a dyno sheet from a few weeks ago , same car but with hks t51spl(non bb). only other changes, now has a slightly more restrictive exhaust(other one was too bloody loud ) now also has the wastegate plumbed in. both dynos were done at around 23psi. merli, maybe u could apply the speeds to this one.
  3. 19 x 10 275-30-19
  4. no, i would recommend this to someone who wants to run a single with similar response to low mount twins, who wants more power than is availble with low mounts. and b4 someone says it, i know this power is availble with low mounts, but would need minimum 2540s or t518z and both would spool similar to this, probably worse.
  5. dunno much about hks t04s, except that i have imported 2 gtrs with t04 and both laggy pos.
  6. your cheating, i think it may have helped that u picked up the car on your truck tonight with dyno sheet.
  7. yep single setup, motor is built, forgies, oil system, cams etc. if u want a single this is better option than the jap turbos for spool etc. not a bad turbo for a stock bottom end and 350kw i reckon, probably even downsize a little for even better spool.
  8. no cigar merli, t04 yes, but think the specs on this turbo are considerably smaller than the hks version
  9. ok, heres the graph, makes 417kw on shoot. 23psi garret t04 custom, ball bearing. . hey sydney kid, mate yet again ur confusing me and prolly everyone else.english mate, english. so s/k..lookin at the graph whats you opinion? Dean
  10. all will be revealed soon, lets wait for a few more guesses
  11. hi guys, who can pick from this dyno sheet what turbos/turbo this gtr is running. has usual upgrades and cams. does anyone recognise the power curve. i will reveal the power once we have had a few guesses.
  12. probbaly one of the most time differences is an engine can be removed from a gst with the gearbox dettached, this is much more difficult on a gtr. we dont even bother now, we usually remove the box first and then the engine, dropping the whole lot with suspension is another way, but not our prefered way. gtrs are just a lot more fiddly and harder to work on. also u have driveshafts, intercooler hoses, most things are harder to get to, starter motor, bellhousing bolts etc,etc..put simply gtr engines are a pain.
  13. rb25 and rb26 are worlds apart in labour hours. to remove and refit a gtst is around 6-7 hours, rb26 is closer to 20
  14. yep she is knackered, dont even bother with the turbo, i have rebuilt half a dozen rb25s that so called reputable workshops diagnosed as a crook turbo. hey merli do u get a barrister to work on your cars, $1500 to remove refit a gtst engine, less than half that.
  15. cool, dont sound like they are a good move with yamahas engine builder.
  16. only based on what i have seen, i have never used them, but this is the second engine i have seen with these symtoms. why not stick with genuine type rings, whats the benefit of the gapless rings.
  17. doesnt come as a surprise, time to ditch those gapless rings too. cant help on which turbo, i just supplied the funds and ben did the work. i also think running in a properly built rb is not a problem either, when ben builds my engines, they have less than 100kms before we let them rip on the dyno, my last engine made 450kw@the wheels with only 70kms on the speedo and still goin strong.
  18. rims have some gutter rash. price drop $2000 with 265-35-18 falkens or rims only $1500
