  1. you can do the work yourself and deliver the car to an engineer, but some of the items are not that simple, belts are not required if there in good nick, but must be retractable in the rear, which silvia usually doesnt have, tyres are ok if they are roadworthy. but intrusion bars are a pain, if u attempt them, make sure you speak to your engineer as they all have different requirements for dimensions and the way they are fixed, fuel filler restrictor is also a pain if you dont have the correct tool, r32 filler necks are a pain. we charge $1300 for r32 and $1500 for silvia(silvia requires rear belts) Dean
  2. ferni, im a whiteline dealer, i can help with the bits and i would recommend advantage suspension for the alignment.
  3. definately interchangeable, i swapped susp from my r33 to r34
  4. they fit, but too much offset for anything other than a gtr

  8. I've seen 330rwkw with standard injectors and Adj Fuel pressure reg. Apparenlty the injectors have issues closing at such big pressure tho but for 260ish just a reg should be fine. yeah right the cops are getting suited up and ready to fly!
  9. did u use the original rubber seal that is fitted to the cover behind the cas, if not u need to remove the small steel spacers fitted into the rubber, it has to have these spacers otherwise it will rub on the cam gears, if u dont have u can use washers, u need spacers about 5mm long.

  14. doing valve stem seals with head on wouldnt be too time consuming, probably half a day at a guess. ive still got my money on a ring problem. (have u spoken to ben, he may be able to offer some advice)
  15. i think , it sounds like u have eliminated any ancilary problems. comp test still wont 100% eliminate a ring problem, likely would pick up a broken ring or ring land, but if your problem relates to bedding in or faulty ring or rebore/hone the only way is to tear it apart. what about a bore scope , you may see some scoring in one of the bores. if u cant find the problem and decide to pull the head off, i would just pull the engine, u will spew if u go to all the work pulling the head off to find its the engine. been there done that! its starting to sound like its going to be coming out.
