  1. we have never fitted a patrol clutch and dont carry them in stock
  2. no idea how many kms ago, but probably a bit over a year from memory. i doubt a turbo issue, a bit too much of a coincedence aswell i reckon.
  3. the turbos were mine , aswell as the afms, i sold them to ben and we had 2 failures. i definately bought 1 new core and i think ben used some parts from another turbo to repair the other. i bought these turbos, thinking they were fine and got rolled and i footed the bill to repair them.
  4. considering this is a new engine rebuild, i would be putting my effort in to determining if its an engine problem. as others have stated, sounds like venting, ring or valve stem issue to me. you could try dropping the engine pipe and looking for oil, but considering the smoke isnt that bad, i would think that any evidence of oil would get burnt away pretty quickly. im assuming your car is the grey r32gtr with the leather, cant remember the previous owners name, but if it is those 2530s on your car, they have already been rebuilt.
  5. dont be a girl, 11 would be a good effort anyway, if u can drop in the low 12s on your first few attempts you will be doing well. cmon start spashing some cash, new clutch, oil cooler, sump and your ready to go, im goin out to the track within a month, u can come along
  6. yep the penny dropped as soon as i posted that. reckon it would actually be pretty easy to do with that method. Dean
  7. sounds like ur catch tank is venting ok, but to be sure , leave the pcv blocked and the turbo piping pipe blocked and disconnect the catch can , so both rocker covers vent. then u will know for sure that the pressure is unlikely the crankcase. i once fitted a catch tank to my gtr, but forgot to drill vent holes in the catch tank and i was leaving trails of white smoke down the street and pulling my hair out trying to work out what was going on, i also did lots of work, so was hard to pin point the reason, until someone pointed out that the catch tank wasnt venting. did i feel like a butt head
  8. hey sk you must have a magic wand, i figure u would have to get the engine that high in the engine bay, u would need to remove nearly everything to do it and another 30 mins of work the engine would be on the ground. actually just thought about it, dropping the front crossmember would probably be easier than pulling the engine. Dean
  9. we can do a gtst clutch install for $200
  10. yep engine out, so add around $1500 in labour to the quoted figures.
  11. ive done about 15 customer cars all stock all standard turbos and all 240-270kw. 2 failures, one 5 minutes down the road after dyno run on r32gtr and other 2 hours after dyno run in a r34gtr. so in my experience if it doesnt fail quicky , probably wont. all the above cars were street cars and to the best of my knowledge all still going strong, my own car did 20,000kms with 268kw and still going strong(hey ferni). Dean
  12. cam gears, 1 bar boost, decent air filter, front pipes, decent free flowing exhaust and a competant tuner and most importantly a healthy engine..
  13. how does your catch can vent, does it plumb back or just vent through a hose, if it plumbs back to the rocker covers, make sure the catch can has sufficient venting, if its running a filter, remove it incase its blocked. did it have the catch can fitted previously? Dean
  14. sold**************************************************
  15. photos would be good, we generally use the factory bracket and mod it to fit the pump, length isnt a major problem as u can shorter the pipe and or hose to slide the pump up, but with the pump mounted to the original bracket with a fair bit of fab, it wont go in.the pump fits without the bracket , but not with the factory bracket. ive actually had to fix a few where they are fitted to the factory bracket and in the tank on an angle with the filter sitting hard against the bottom of the tank, this actually caused a blow up on a customers car who tried to fit himslef. thanks dean
  16. just because it has plates doesnt mean its actually registered. i know this car..it is not registered.
  17. hi sydney kid, curious, i have tried to mount 044s in gtst a few times and i have never been able to fit the o44 in the gtst cavity, i can do it ,but the pump sits on an angle with only 1 of the 2 x hooks that support the fuel sender to the inside of the tank. i even had a fuel tank on the ground and a 044 and still couldnt get it in the cavity. am i missing something. thanks Dean
  18. for sale 18 x 10 worx equip wheels(chrome) excellent condition $2000 no tyres or $2600 with 265-35-18 falkens in good nick to suit gtr.
  19. gettin closer to my $175
  20. clearly for me to be interested i have a friend doing a rb26 conversion who doesnt have any. good luck
  21. $175 the pair if u want to cod them to melbourne
  22. Will R33 GTR lights fit a S1 R33 GTSt - yes, but gtr headlamps have a spacer at the rear of headlamp. on a gtr they stick out further, so the mounting spacer/stud needs to be swapped over, also gtr headlaps dont have the lower lugs to mount the grill on gtst.
  23. manifolds are different, turbos are the same.
