id rather not say man. but its between 26 000 and 28 000 we have agreed on a price, i said i would match the price of the other buyer if it falls through so yeah see what happeneds, he gave the guy till friday so hopefully it will drop out
-
yeah ive found one its a 98 with 30 000 on it, genuine 2, had it checked, but he already has a byer he promised the car. the thing is the buyer doesnt have his money and i do, he didnt lay down a deposit or nuffin. nice car, the wheels are a bit old skool the other good thing is he lives like down the road from me, i never seen it driving around so i know he hassnt drivin it much. had a jap head unit in it tho and all the buttons are in jap, no big deal tho. im so hopin that the other buyer drops out, coz i got the money and deposit waitin for him. i been hasselin him a bit so im just gunna let it ride now. coz when im in the market for a car and dealer hassel me i get pissed off lol. anyway crossin my fingers hey thats it down the bottom, see what i mean by the wheels. they do look better in real life,

hey all just checked out that R34 over at SM, its a piece of crap, the guy pritty much came out and told me it came from japan with no front bar and no head lights, the hood didnt open properly, which is why i think it was involved in an accident. it had interior panels missing, brake and clutch pedals were mssing down to the metal, seat was worn, and stains on left hand seat. and he was asking 30 000 for it. rust on the pipe from the intercooler. not a good one at all anyway just thought id let ya know, watch out for that one. dont get it its been in a crash just lettin ya know

oh yeah im not borrowin the cash anymore, i eneded up earning enuff this year in my family company to be able to afford the car under the company, which is mega sweet, low repayment costs and ill own it in 3 years or so. so thats awsome its under a lease agreement.
-
thanks man nar the act car is off, lookin in brissy now, found a few nice ones, bit outta my price range, but ill try and talk em down, i got the cash so its not like im bull shitin em.
-
hey guys any of you ever got a car from street machines in brisbane. ive herd good and bad stuff about them i dunno what to think?
-
thanks Jun i already had a mega lemon with my last car so im hoping that my bad luck is gone with car ey. Joel, the guy sellin the car seems pritty lagit and has had no problems carring out all the test on the car i have asked for. he sent me the action sheet and was a grade 4 car when it left japan and the KMs to me seem genuine for the look of the car. i am getting a RACQ test, they are called something different in ACT but im gettin that done at no charge to me, and he is most likely going to ship it up to brisbane for the price we agreed on which was 25 000 flat. im flying down next saturday to test drive and view the car. i live in brissy by the way. there is really nothing up here that is even as close to the quality of this car including KMs and body. i dont mind traveling do see it, so hopefully by the end of next week ill own it. im excited.
-
thanks guys, dont worry im gettin all that stuff, plus a full RACQ test on the car im flyin down on sunday to test drive it and check it over. it is through aussie car compliance, and i looked em up on a few forums and they seem to have a good rep esspecially the guy im dealin with, his name is joel anyway so prolly bout 2 weeks i will have joined the skyline ranks hey whoo
-
hey guys looks like i might be gettin the car sooner then later id rather get it now, and save to pay back my mum rather then wait so im gunna fly to ACT and take a look at this one. seems like a resonable deal and come with a warrenty and 12 months rego and resonably low Ks. what ya think?? http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales/&a...amp;sort_type=1

yeah i get that 2 when i went through at skool, i knew half the skool were crazy in their cars, i knew they would be even more crazy once they completed this DD course. so i waited at the end of the day before i left the skool. and whatta u know, half of em raced outta there like they were peter brock. so i can see the bad side to it u know
-
hey guys id be in for that but im in qld ive already done 2 courses, beginner and advanced, i didnt have to do the intermediate. i also dun a level one racing course which was alot of fun. totally for the track tho. theres no way you could push a car that hard on standard streets. anyway, i agree that p platers should be made to do these courses, my skool organised a course for us, that was the beginner course, then i went on my own accord to do the advanced. and the racing level 1, which is just basic racing. anyway i definately agree, made me a much safer driver and i will say has got me outta alot of bad situations on instint and quick reacting that i wouldnt have dun if i was freash to the wheel.

also if u import a car that has some mods, does it cost you to get them to put the original stuff back on . and will they then put the mods back of after it is complied of will u have to do that yourself.
-
yeah for sure any 1 had any problems with their cars and post some pics up i'd like to see some of them
-
yeah dont worry guys, im not an impulse buyer. i always do my research. i have a mate that works down the port who had his car imported, so im just gunna have a talk to him, see who he went through and then see what happeneds. im in no rush, i get a free car from work so its not like i need it lol. i just want it haha
-
dont u have to get it totally stock before you can get it complienced??
-
i agree driver training was the best thing i ever did got me outta some nasty stuff. this one time i was comin down this str8 road, traffic was kidda heavy but this guy in front was talkin on his phone and didnt see the car in front brakin. now in heavy traffic i was followin about a car length or so back. bu he hammered the anchors and hit the guy in front. now just on instinct i sweved outta the way, no damage to me or anyother cars around me. it was pritty much exactly the set up they had in the courses i did. so they do help, coulda been pritty messy.
-
yeah im waitin about 6 months i dont have the money yet but im savin like carazy no goin out for me but im lookin now and im thinking of travelin to sydney coz they seem to be a bit cheaper down there

hey ya'll now i am 22 and in the market for a r34 GT-T, i have wanted one since i was in high skool and am now in the position to be able to affored one. i have already sorced the insurence for 1300, with a 1400 excess(bit high) but thats what ya get with a import i guess i have had an astra sri turbo before and loved it but it was a bit of a lemon, nothing ever went right anyway any help you guys could give me, eg what to look for in a good r34. i am hoping to buy it with wheels and an exhaust already on it, maybe lowered, but these mods usually constitute that the car has had a hard life, e.g been floged around. this is my first import i am thinking of buyin and i have herd some horror storyies. any help would be great thanks Jake

hey guys can i just say as a young driver, who has owned powerful cars, im 23 by the way. i dont think it can all be solved by abbning certian cars. yeah a skyline will do 160+ easy. but so will a 1.5 lancer(from experience). most roads in qld, u cant get ur car above like 100 before u gotta slow for a corner. anyway thats not my point. i hate when i come on here and here all these people baggin out other people because they made a mistake in their car or ran an orange light or sped or something like that. every single one of us has ran an orange at one stage in our lives, and eveyone makes mistakes, even the most experienced of us all. sh*t happends. we have all done something stupid in our car, and we have all been in a situation that is out of our control. i have had 2 accidents in my time driving and both times i was totally not to blame. but when i told people on the forum about it. all they could do was bag me out. really pisses me off. we all fu*k up so get over urselves hippocrites.
