Chris, whats the cost to fix it? Is it something i can do, or is it a electronics expert type of repair? If i was to go aftermarket, id want a dvd single din player and hook it up to the aux input on the factory screen. Any units known to work well that others have used? Bluetooth would be handy too.... Im going to need a new facia arent i? Where do i get that from... ?

I never realised that it only does it on CD - but now that you mention it i think your right, it only does it on CD's The only station i can listen to at the moment in melbourne is 89.9 as is havent installed my frequency expander yet...... Questions: Can it be fixed - or not worth it? What are my after market options that will work with all factory speakers and sub, and steering wheel controls? kolossus - if i cant do any of the above how much do you want for it? and is it from an 05?

Wondering if anyone has experienced this..... Got the factory bose audio in my sedan - as im driving the left side speakers randomly cut out.... im thinking loose wire behind the dash? Any one else experienced this before i pull it out to troubleshoot?

Great example and a Great car for a cruise!! we've takin it for a few drives as a family in the years we've owned it, most recently to Merrimbula for our Christmas holidays last year - the car was nothing but a joy drive during the trip!! we were all in complete comfort - and not to mention the outstanding highway economy!! I'm talking Under 10lt per 100kms!!!

Tinted Windows Cargo Barrier 17" Wheels, dont know exact size, but I do know rears are definiely wider the the fronts. My guess, the fronts would be 8's and the rears 9" wide 3" Exhaust cat back - has a great tone, but not loud, perfect as family car - no drone inside at all! Blitz POD filter Proffesioinally lowered IMPUL Coilovers - has nice ride, not too stiff. JVC Head Unit. This unit will play DVD/DivX/CD/MP3 - basically it will play anything, can play video files from the USB also (USB memory stick), as well as audio from iPhone, or any other player via the front AUX input (can aslo use as hands free, plug your phone in and you listen to the person your speaking to through the car speakers!). Engine rebuilt about 80,000Ks ago by previous owner (have receipts), clock has 185,000k's Have some service history - not sure how far back, need to go through the books BRAND NEW radiator approx 8000k's ago - whole system was flushed/cleaned, and new clean coolant now running through system - run's perfect! pulled out the control unit thingo - all the solder joints looked fine - went to wreckers to try plugging in another one incase the relay in mine was stuffed - and the dude at the wreckers reccomended testing the climate control resistor / heat sensor (what ever you wana call it.....) so he grabbed another one from an R33 (looks like they're the same), plugged it in - and guess what...!!! THE FAN STARTED WORKING INSTANTLY!!!!!!! FIXED!!!! turns out another dude a few weeks ago had the same problem in a WRX - and thats how he fixed his problem too!! so anyone else has a similar issue - now you have another thing you can check!!

Unfortunately it wasn't just a matter of cleaning the pins.... plugged a multimeter into the connector... its only getting 0.3v (which is sweet F**k all!!) I would love some suggestions for the next thing to try.... or is it time to take it to an auto elec...?? if so, can anyone reccomend a good one in northern subs. Melbourne?
