  2. Sounds like the clutch fork pivot point is dry. Peel the boot back and give it a quick squirt http://www.wuerth.co.th/homepage_en/product/product_HHS.html

  4. Maybe It's too small for the 3 ltr but the use of E85 is masking the effects?
  5. What size is the exhaust housing?
  6. Are you running an ignition cut rev limiter? Measured EMAP?
  7. You have to try something, surely It'd be cheap insurance? The Earls 140 micron filters, for example, are cleanable and reusable. What oil weight and temps is it seeing?
  8. I'd be adding an in-line filter on the next unit.

  10. Nice! Size and offset?
  11. So I'm now officially on first name basis with all the different couriers around town as more parts arrived this morning.
  12. Fitted up yet?
  13. They've been on on my wish list too, for as long as I can remember. Courtesy of Jesse Streeter
  14. Hehe. I tore it open like a kid on Christmas mourning. It's a Bride Gias II. Having a carbon fiber shell and aluminium frame, It's quite light, yet surprisingly comfortable. As you'd expect, it came with all the authentic paperwork, mounts and hardware. In other news, I gave the car It's first wash since the hill climb. It's almost looking white again. And I noticed, since installing the engine damper, it seems to glide into gear very smoothly. But I'm yet to drive it in anger.
  15. Don't forget the fuel filter.
  16. Arrived home from lunch to this.
  17. Cool, come and say hi . I'll be the guy who, like in your avatar, has no idea what I'm doing. I'm running an offset spacer on both sides and have more lock one way than the other. I've just always driven around it, but the Ikeya gear has a funky double adjustment, that gives you plenty of adjustment either way. I have a spare set of the Ikeya tie rods, I'll bring them with me and you can have a look for yourself.
  18. Nice, in the s14? If so, that's quite an extensive 'to do' list you have, good luck. I'll be sure to come and say hi, as I don't think I'll know anyone there, haha.
  19. Thanks man, will do. I've got the GoPro charged and ready to go.Yeah, It's starting to become a real money pit . I've been quietly following your build for some time now, It's coming along very nicely. And that Japan trip, god damn that looks amazing. I must get across there sometime.
  20. Man this Matsuri is coming around quickly. I've organised my tyres for the event and in hindsight, I've probably arranged too many, but time will tell. I just hope the car makes it through the weekend so I can burn them all off. One thing that has been keeping me up all night is the clutch. It has been in there for a while now, and although It's not slipping, I decided to take a spare just in case. And to facilitate the numerous wheel/tyre changes, a spare set of wheel nuts. I also have a rather large package on the way from Jesse Streeter, but It's going to be touch and go as to whether it will arrive in time and if so, whether I'll have time to fit it. Meanwhile the tow vehicle has decided to split a radiator end-tank and so a new Koyo-Rad is set to arrive midweek. To be honest, I'm more concerned about the tow car making the ten hour round trip, It's getting a bit long in the tooth now. Ah the thrill of it all...
  21. ^^^No one here has a life, please post parts list so we can all live vicariously through you.
  22. BorgWarner's new EFR 7163 would meet your goals. A bit exxy though
  23. A quick update and some Pre-Matsuri prep. I got the new tyres fitted up to the new wheels and mounted them up front, to have some fresh rubber where it's needed most. The tyres that were up front, will be skidded off. Check out the build date of the new wheels. I gave the car a service, and fitted up a new oil cap While servicing the car, I noticed that the engine mounts are a bit worn. I've ordered new ones, but they won't arrive in time for Matsuri. To alleviate this, I fitted up an engine torque damper. This meant lowering the remote filter mount. While the wheels were off, I took the liberty to remove the the brake pads which had become glazed up due to putting around town. A quick scuff up on the concrete floor and after re-bedding them in again, they have that aggressive bite back. One problem I did notice however, is this...hmm.
  24. That's an amazing story, your Grandpa sounds incredible.
  25. Cheers. I was running R33 LCA's and fixed Cusco Upper arms, that are 10mm shorter for -3 degrees camber (This worked really well). But I have since installed the Ikeya Formula LCA's and extended them further, for extra clearance for the wider wheels. However, the new setup has yet to be tested in terms of sliding the car, so I'm a bit apprehensive as to whether it's all going to work together the way I'm hoping it will, or moreover, like it used to.
