  1. No. If you machine the discs then you have to fit oversized shoes. The project Mu rear shoes only come in one size. You could get a machinist to take a pooftenth off, but it's not worth it unless you discs are stuffed. Just use some emery on the inside of the disc as they will be glazed, then bed the pads in. I pull my rear rotors off before every drift meet and do this and they lock up perfectly every time. Project Mu shoes ftw.
  2. User "Kaido_RR" has. Check this thread. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sh...&start=2340
  3. Thanks for the info Adrian, that's all i wanted to know. Cheers.
  4. There's a R33 GTR in HPI issue No. 106 that is running the twin 2835 kit. Its running the 270 10.8mm procams and making 550awhp at 25psi.
  5. They're only really there for aesthetic purposes to cover up wiring looms etc, but if you really wanted to neaten things up you could get gtr ones.
  6. Awesome, that's good to know. I can't wait to get it on and tuned. Do you know if the spec and trims are the same as the previous model? As in what's the difference between a 2530 and a 2530kai?
  7. First of all you need GTR indicators and secondly, throw the guard linings over your shoulder.
  8. ^ What about the GT2530Kai? Is it rated to more power than the standard 2530, as the pro s is to the standard 2835?
  9. Picks of said 32?
  10. Red would suit the GMG to a tee.
  11. Haha. I just found an old dusty photo from when I first got the car and scanned it on my crappy scanner but this will give you an idea. It's not overly bright, you could make it brighter with more LED’s, but I like how its subtle.
  12. Yeah, it lights up blue. It was on the car when i got it.
  13. ^Tuff GTR. Here's some of mine.
  14. Did you bleed the master cylinder first?
  15. JIS sell the Kazama castor rods for $250. They're located in Adelaide http://www.japaneseimportspares.com.au/home/
  16. My bad orange mark is TDC. I just assumed RB's were the same as SR's.
  17. It will be broken at the instrument cluster. Get a new cable from Nissan.
  18. The timing marks look right. TDC is the second last notch from the left. The orange mark you have highlighted is 5 degrees ATDC
  19. R.E. the timing belt walking, you should double check that you put the timing belt guide back on the crank pulley before the lower half of the timing cover and the balancer were put back on.
  20. Will be receiving a gt2530kai from him soon, hopefully in time to fit and tune before the next Winton meet.
  21. I can see your concerns as its a big decision and a big purchase. But if the car is primarily going to be used for drift then you'd be hard pressed to go passed the SD's. The valving of the SD's are specifically suited to drift, with the spring rates to match. If i could offer one piece of advice it would be to copy someones setup that works. That might sounds stupid as everyones driving style is different, but that's what i did with 'Simon-R32's setup, as i knew it was a proven performer. I just customized it to suit my driving style. Like you said, you think my car has too much body roll, that could be tuned out with thicker swaybars etc. I got my SD's from Japan for $2000 delivered. At the moment, one of the sponsors on NS has them advertised for $2610 plus shipping. Email Streeter for a price http://www.jessestreeter.com/
  22. I have the front swaybar on soft and run the front damper pretty soft but that just suits my driving style. You could run thicker sway bars but i think they would be overkill with 7/5 kg springs. At the end of the day harder equals slower. The SD's are a bit rough for daily driving, but i don't mind/notice, as they come into their own at the track and they're awesome through the twisties. If you're looking at getting the SD's look into getting them from Japan as a $400-600 saving can be had.
  23. Good discussion. I have the Tein SD's with spring rates of 7/5kg and 24/22mm swaybars. I bought them new and have had them for about 18 months. The car is still a daily but i attend as many Winton drift meets as my budget permits. If i had gone softer springs i would have run thicker swaybars. Here's a video of the setup.
