  1. www.r30.co.jp try them, you may need a local import place (to you of course) to be able to deal with them?
  2. Good luck.. Do you have insurance? If so have you spoken to them about the situation? Any idea what its going to cost to fix?
  3. That's grandpa spec... What you thinking - LS1 twin turbo??
  4. What she said, can any one help?? Cheers
  5. Well I'm back looking again. Just to make this clear I'm looking for an exhaust CAM not a cam gear. If you can help ASAP pls reply or PM me. Thanks, Matt

  9. um..i guess all the $$ went into engineering the rear wing. WTF
  10. Just to keep on topic - you'd have to mess around with engine mounts to make it fit then the gear box mount then the loom to get it going..
  11. sold it 3 or so years ago.
  12. try these guys, local QLD club, as far as i know, but you might fine some good contacts towards importing what you want.. http://www.classicjapaneseshowandshine.com/ my bad OT too..
  13. stop harassing new people Dennis.. lol
  14. will keep you in mine as can't pay for anything till next Wed anyway. i'd be happy for you to throw the inlet cam away to save me postage.. lol
  15. Hello, pretty straight forward just as the title says i'm looking for a S1 exhaust cam for an r33. happy to pay postage. cheers
  16. when you say hitting, do you mean its hitting but still fully cranking around or is it stopping when your cranking it?? stopping = bad, hitting = still bad i'm afraid. both really means the head comes off the block, replace a few valves and shes sweet.. just got all the parts in to start my full re-build so i know what a pain it is..
  17. unless you can hand crank it freely all the way around you are wasting your time with a compression test. the bolt holding the idler bearing in my 25 snapped it idle losing all power, engine turning over fine there and then again but once it cooled down the exhaust valves in #2 dropped onto the cylinder head. if it won't turn all the way around when hand cranking as per above, take of the exhaust or inlet manifold and feel around in the head you'll soon find the problem... who did the timing?? ie: was it like that when you bought it? Also the pic really don't help to judge if it was out, line the dot on the inlet cam with the white line on the backing plate on the left on the pic (not the ones at the top) the dot on the exhaust cam should then line up with the other white mark on the backing plate (again not those marks on top) then check your harmonic balancer also shows TDC.. all dots and lines should meet..
  18. is this a daily driven car?? i think you'll get pretty sick of the ride being that stiff pretty quick...
  19. are you emailing BC directly?? find a dealer/re-seller for BC coil-overs, they want your money and will answer faster.. option 1 garage in Brisbane offer both HSD and BC, look around for a more local option i ran HSD HR coil overs in my R31 (s13 conversion) 8kg fronts and 6kg rear, standard spring rates off the shelf. for a daily driver they were stiff but fun. i also fitted s-13 fronts in my HR30, can't remember if the r30 tie rod ends fit or not. that may be a more pressing thing to look into.
  20. s-13 conversions are done all the time in r31's.... not to many people think quite that far into the process ie engine weights. do it, see if you like it at standard spring rate, change them if your not happy. are you going 2nd hand coil overs or brand new, you can at a small extra cost normally get different springs/rates when buying new.
  21. Pull out the Crank angle sensor, leave it plugged in, turn the power on but don't crank it over.. spin the CAS and listen for the injectors ticking. if you can hear them then its not that if not try to test another CAS in the same way..
  22. Hello, I'm about the start re-building my rb25det, i have a service manual but it only shows a break down of an rb26dett bottom end, shows the rb25det top end info?? will the 25 settings be the same as the 26? torque setting and so forth? Cheers
  23. i fitted s-13 gear to my hr30 years ago, sinse then i'll converted my r31 aswell, one simple trick, instead of cutting your banjo bolts get a 3-4mm spacer washer and an extra copper washer, about $5 it cost me. if you remove the hub off the s-13 hub carrier you can take the stone guard completely off too. Nice work
  24. mine made 108 rwhp on the dyno, un-modded, 350K+ on the clock. these cars are 20 years old next month. 140kw shown in the book is at the flywheel, manual & brand new. is yours manual or auto? do you have the piggy back ECU that controls the cam, should be in the passenger side wheel well, where your ECU is. a good condition GTS2 stock should pull 125-130ish rwhp on a dyno. my guess after 20 years mine was a stock standard Auto GTS2 which turned out to not have the piggy back ECU so i wasn't getting the full adv of the gts2 cam.
  25. looks like in going drinking tonight, but its 5min from the meeting point so i'll stop in for a look and see if i'm up for the drive. haven't been to one of these in a few years...
