  1. i thing your talking about the brake lines, remember the originals are 20 years old!! talk to a suspension place about the brake lines..
  2. how much is cheap?? if you stick with the rb30e idea then adding a VL turbo set up is the way to go $1000 for all parts needed then install and a bit of wiring?? your stock exhaust will need to go, 3" full system $900-1500 FMIC $500 with piping?? maybe new fuel pump $300 this should get a good street 150rwkw, with good tuning 170rwkw depending on what the rest of the car is like you may need suspension and a brake upgrade..$$$$$ when every you want to get more power the bills always go up too....

  4. spotted a few stageas here on the goldie, i see a red one with alot of body work (some unfinished) all the time, saw the silver one with the r34 gtr front the other night, i was drunk (2:30am) waiting for a cab home, thought i was dreaming till I read other people in this area have seen it.. every import caryard here has at least 2 for sale..

  6. i've read the other thread that you have been posting in about the conversion and will be following your example, if i can source the parts for the $4-5000 thats fine, budget is $8000 for the conversion, i've done S1-S3 r31 front end conversions myself before which seem to just be the same sort of work but a hell of a lot cheaper.. i might look for an aftermarket bonnet for a gtr rather than a stock one depending on the price.. if i have to panit the guards and maybe bonnet and a few other things i may as well use the stagea code and match the front to the rest of the car.. the plan is to buy the car then while its on its way over get the parts together for the conversion, what are you sending to get copied? if its the front guards i might be very interested, i'd need to get the car purchase set in stone before putting $$ down for parts though..
  7. anyone know if there are matching paint codes for the r34 gtr range and the Stagea range? i'll be looking to import a stagea in the next few months with the intension of doing a r34 gtr front end swap, i have silver in mind as i think thats the closest from memory. any help would be great.. worse comes to worse i have to get the front repainted...

  11. its a nice example of a pillarless 4 door, but for the $$$, after Mods and ORC maybe $10000 , you can find a nice example of a 2door right here in OZ,Hell for $8500 i'll sell you my r31/rb25det...
  12. Just about to put a rb25det and r33 auto box into my r31 but need to get new belts for the altinator and the power steering unit, need part #'s for these. I'm also need to know whats the best transmission fluid for the r33 auto trans. Cheers, Matt..
  13. i run a 600mmx 300mmx 75mm fmic and have the piping coming back up through where the factory air box was, both pipes come back up through the wheel arch, the return pipe comes back behind the core and up, the HR30 i have had the 2" factory holes under the air box which were made bigger into one hole. the core inlet and outlet sit below the front bar surport.. pics are on here somewhere...

  15. i've got a 25 sitting around so i'll mesure it up tonight, if the plenum does sit to high and you need to change it or custome engine mounts to lower it..
  16. its a clutch fan type and for it to stop altogether the pump would have to have siezed or the fan belt snapped? you'd notice this as soon as you open the bonnet with the engine running..
  17. Cheers, the bloke i bought it off has cleaned it as a part of the import process, he said i just had to re-seal it, i'll go off to nissan and get some sealant then.. thanks for the help..

  19. my temp gauge (when working)sat at about 1/3 all the time, SteveL, i'd say your right on the money with your surggestions, a good cooling system flush about $20, may be replace the water pump if the flush dosent help, good coolant is another thing too..
  20. i bought a newly imported rb25det about a week ago, the bloke i bought it off said i needed to reseal the sump, to do this do i need a casket or something else? i don't have an engine hoist, and the engine is sitting on the sump now so i can't take it off to have a look.. Cheers, Matt..

  25. would there be much weight difference between a 2 door and a 4 door? Hr30= 1150kg hehehe i always wondered what the front end of mine would weight now that its mostly r32...
