  4. i was going to mention it but i thought someone who knows so much about the hr30 would have known his Paul Newman special was just that?? also it depends on what year the Hr30 is, mines an 82' and i have no power windows, no power steering but i do have A/C and damper adj front shocks (not that they work)??? maybe it was a trade off when they were built, "that one can have power steering and adj damper but NO a/c"..
  5. any differences in clusters for r33s' say if i have a S1 motor and transmission do i need a cluster from a S1 r33 or will any r33 cluster be ok, i ask because its all going into an r31 and i have a bloke to wire it so i don't want to make it difficult for him and $$$ expensive for me..
  6. i met a bloke on the sunny coast with what he said was an ex gibson developed dr30, not a race car but a twin turbo fj20 experiment? he was driving the car at the time, i think i posted pics up in the origanal r30 thread i started here about 3 years ago..
  7. is this the one he sold cheapish or the $125,000 one in the add above? i don't think your going to spent big Dollars on racing history then modifiy it to that extent just to race in a few weekend races?? unless you have more money than sence. then again i wouldn't mind it in my garage regardless.
  8. HR30 is the NO frills DR30, no electrics, no fj20det, no larger brakes, no r200 lsd Hr30 does have its positives though all the fun stuff from the dr can be transfered ( engine, brakes, diff, iron mask front end, HEHEHE) and still be about 100kg lighter than the DR..

  11. i drive an NA r31, it has extractors and 2 1/2"exhaust so it sounds alright and looks ok on the outside too, i find its the other way around, its the smaller engined cars wanting to have a go..

  14. only if you used r30 coilovers, with the s-13 coilovers you have to use the s-13 hubs
  15. i was going to say that the Z31 hubs are 5 stud. Z31 rears are as rear as rooster eggs, r31 boys look for them to do 5 stud conversions you'd be better off looking for the hr31 imports!

  17. as it asks oil coolers legal or not legal?? its just i was going to mount mine on the outside of the front bar, HR30 oldschool, but i kind of thought "am i asking for trouble"..

  19. if you want to upgrade the rotors and calipars later make shaw you get a set with floating rotors..
  20. can i ask how much is your mate looking to sell the rb30et for? the L24et should be good to run stock boost 6-8psi without problems, some tuning time will help, are you getting the wolf ecu? intercooler is a must to run higher boost plus nothing but BP ultimate too. engine will live a bit longer.
  21. mate, some of the things your looking to do are an ask, unless you have $$$, Engine swap with torque?? L24et, L28et, rb30et perhaps but the rb30 may site too high to close the bonnet, you may want to look into a vg30et ($$$) or a rb30de if you don't mind N/A.. Camber, correct adj strut tops for an r30 are a great start plenty of camber there, depending on the amount of chamber you are looking for and the tyre budget you have. you can always change other components later. seats you can transfer the hr31 seats to the r30 rails but they will sit higher than normal, $250 will get you a brand new seat rail that is lowered and you can mount any aftermarket seat on them, mine arrives in the next few weeks for japan, you can get a recaro one ordered at autobarn for $400. the rest your asking about are things you don't need advice on, removing the rear seat is what, undo bolts and remove. the r33 lights ??? your better off looking for a set of HR30 hotplates or DR30 ones as it would cost more to convert the wiring and fit the r33's than its worth, couple of hundred at the most to get a set of DR30 tail lights from japan, or even here, that are in 100% A1 condition, then you just put them in no mucking about.. heres a link to a set for sale on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com.au/R30-Skyline-Hot-Pla...1QQcmdZViewItem i think you'll find the laurel is more r31 than r30 if anything..
  22. import hr31 brakes are bigger and will lower the front by 40mm (someone else said that on this forum). i think all you need is the r31 inserts the r30 strut tops and the r31 brake lines? the calipars are alot bigger and the rotors are 280mm plus they have a floating rotorso you can swap to the larger r32/r33 and even gtr brakes later (if you need too)...
  23. these are my old r8s' sold them to a mate who has since sold them on. 15" x 7 and 7.5 offset +21 at the front and +15 at the rear
  24. if i was looking to sell a PNV i'd try to get it listed in japan?
