  1. $12,000 is what it would cost you to import a moddified r32 gtr for race ONLY, its just so tempting.... when you look at that then think about how much (an endless amount take it from me) you can spent on any car to get it track gooood you have to stop and think..

  4. i believe so but with larger disks and different calipars. the short answer to the mounting ? is no...also the gts-t rotors are quite a bit thicker than the hr and the dr rotors...you might be able to use the r31 import struts to get around this as you can fit the gts-t rotors and calipars to them....
  5. it was even worse 2 and a bit years ago when you call places like just jap looking for parts and they say "r30 what".. but they are getting more and more known now

  7. makes you wonder what our hr30's would weigh in at once stripped, its great knowing they start at 1150kg :wassup: , i'm looking forward to driving the hr30 on a more everyday basis but i love my r31 4door aus spec beast....

  12. i got a tacho booster from the guy someone recomended before i got my hands on the new ecu, it didn't help, but i'll wire it up again with the new ecu just in case.... my old ecu is about to be used to fire up a halfcut i got the new ecu from so i'll see if it runs the factory r32 tacho still apart of the cut, that should give me a better idea of whats going on... where does the ecu get the signal from the engine as thats my next path, see whats fgoing on there?? thanks guys, i'm just getting a bit f@#ked of with this hole process......
  13. part 2 of the sarga: i replaced the ecu and nothing, didnt change anything still no signal, so its not the ecu? anyone have any idea as to what else it could be?

  15. bought a set of reco'ed s-13 JIC front coilovers and they have a set of King springs in them, they are to go into my r30 for a gtst brake upgrade, on the springs there is a figure of 400lb, whats this in relation to?? also they have adj chamber tops and to fit them in the r30 these tops need to be reversed will this process have any effect on chamber adjustment?
  16. yeah the bloke on the r31 forum i've spoken to used the rb25 pistons in the rb30e block he said they fit perfectly no problems...he uses the engine for dry lake speed runs with no problems so far?
  17. if i was to use the rb30e pistons it keeps the comp low 8.5:1 (able to turbo it) if i put the rb25de pistons in then the comp is 10.5:1, (slightly higher than the rb25de itself) i've been told to use something like an apexi safc for better fuel/air ratios, i live 50m away from a BP so ultimate is my petrol of choice....cheers.

  20. anyone know the benifits of putting the rb25de head on the rb30e block, keeping it N/A, i'm thinking of the swap and have looked into the work side of things but am still to get info on the benifits power and drivabilty wize???
  21. you'll find alot of the mr30 hatchs were ither shipped to nissan australia whole or as parts..
  22. what turbo was on it though? i know a few DR30 boys who would love to get 180rwkw from a stock turbo at 9-15psi????
  23. dennis, i still have the l20et ecu sitting here if you want that? with this upgrade i was first told that just bolting the turbo gear to the l24e, nothing else, you can run 6-7psi only without any concerns!
  24. i bought thier leads and plugs for my N/A rb30e, all up around $240, when i got my halfcut delivered looked at the plugs and would you believe it splitfire Vs' in the rb20det. saw on tv ages ago an dyno run they did with a ss commie, vx model i think, first run standard factor items next with the plugs then with the plugs and leads, all up for the money they cost there was a dyno'd 10% power increase....30-40rwhp thier coilpacks will be one of the first things i'll be getting after this xmas period....
