  1. sorry it wont match mine.
  2. thats a shocking pic mate, what are the #'s on the ecu as i might need to replace mine.
  3. with mine the gearbox mounts hav'nt been moved and i still retain the belt driven fan?? the back of the engine sits about an inch from the fire wall i was also able to install the r32 radiator as well, i'm using the r32 booster and master cylinder as the old one was in the way to let the engine sit where it is, i'll post up some pics tomorro to show you these bits, heres one to show the fan. the rb30et is a good engine and alot of r31 boys have goon quite far with it but the rb30det is by far a better package :headspin: there is a bit of work involved in getting it right. one was for sale a few months ago for $8000 engine/ecu produced 360kw with something like 450Nm.
  4. rb25det yum, it would be different for the gearbox mount as the box is a bit bigger?
  5. used the r32 engine mounts with about a 10mm steel spacer placed between the mount and the body, from what i can see the standard gearbox mount is still in place..
  6. problem was fixed on the spot (loose hose) but it just got me thinking if what he said about the fuel and the problems other people may have had???
  7. have a look in the for sale section for the going prices on the gtr bits.. got the hubs lined up yesterday for $200 so thats all the bits i need. total has cost me $410 private sale $690 local importer $180 private sale -------- $1280 theres a little bit of machining to be done to get some bolts to fit other than that the next expence will be new pads, fingers crossed.
  8. Hi Tech mufflers do a r30 system for get this $1600 cat back, i've been quoted $1000 for a turbo back system hi flow cat and stainless final from the bloke who did my fmic piping.
  9. mines a hr30 and i had to cut about 3/4 of an inch from the back of the hole for the shifter to come through.. i'm using an rb20det and r32 gearbox, the brake booster was swapp[ed for the r32 one as well as the old one was in the way to fit the engine, the major problem was the wiring $$$.
  10. i did think about it but there not as eazy to find as a set of s-13 coilovers, i can get a set of jap spec r31 struts but they have the aus r31 rotors and calipars on them so i'm thinking there not what i'd need. i just dont want to have to import the bits.. i'll keep it 4x114.3 stud pattern
  11. Just throught i'd post up my brake upgrade info, what i'm doing is using s-13 coilovers and hubs, redrilled r32 gts-t rotors and 4 spot calipars. from what i've been told by a few people who have used this method is that it will work? started with the rotors and calipars picked them up both front and rear for $410. next is the s-13 coilovers which i've lined up a front set of JIC ones that have just been recoed and will set me back $690. hubs are a bit of a mystery at the moment as i'm waiting to here from a couple of people. looking like beening anywhere from $200 to $360 dont know final price yet. this is as far as i'm at at the moment! i know what the process is but will take it step by step over the next two weeks pics of each stage will be provided.. anyone with helpful ideas....
  12. i went to my machanic the other day as i've been noticing a strong fuel smell from my car, he noticed it as well and before asking me what petrol i use he says you use BP ultimate don't you, he then told me that theres been a few problems with the fuel and the seals on fuel pumps, a few people using the fuel have had this problem and have had to replace fuel pumps but it not being covered by insurance due to "contaminated fuel" just seeing if anyone has heard of this latley??
  13. i was going to go through the pages and edit my first post to put some kind of key to where to find the different info but as you said 47 pages is a bit more than i can deal with.
  14. was looking at tein but they've been sold so hes giong to hook me up with a set of JIC that have just been recoed...
  15. should have the s-13 coilovers monday week and pick up the hubs the same day, i'll keep a photo log of the job and post it up here..
  16. just picked up these today
  17. if its the standard r32 turbo then it may have over boosted and the ceramic wheel/sharft let go common thing to happen, probibly less damage to the engine than you might think. have it checked before spending $1200 on a new engine/$400 for a new turbo from shops or 1/2 that from the for sale section on here!
  18. is that with the r32 brakes at all? just bought a set of r32 gtst front and rear rotors and calipars, next will be the s-13 coilovers and hubs should have them fitted over the next month or so. i'll just do the fronts to start with, this means i'll have a brand new set of hr30 DBA slotted rotors, konis adj front shocks, king springs and pads (maybe a front white line sway bar if it dosent fit)for sale cheap all done less than 100kms since installed.
  19. i paid $250 for mine from a bloke in NZ..
  20. like the look off the 33/34gtr also like the look of the stagea/34 thats a great change.
  21. NICE ONE do you still those copper colour looking rims as they make the car look like a RC car swweeeeet, when did you convert the front to the iron mask?
  22. didn't he get his first jaguar points in the wet?
  23. i think also the coverage of the race was alot better than some of the other races i've watched this year, not just following MS around. watching the renault getting out of those corners was a bit of an eye opener. good to know webber is in for a bit more compeditive drive next year! can you picture the smile on his face when he finished ahead of the BAR..
  24. count me in for MSCIII , cghwy not to bad it just depends on how many lanes we take up and if our break lights work or not
