  1. you can pick up a hybrid 600x300x75mm for $700ish from justjap a sponser of this forum, www.powerdigger.com were selling the hybrid gts-t piping kit for $450ish or rolin imports (as you mentioned) here in Qld can get the same piping kit for around $600!!
  2. what psi will you be running when the bigger fmic is fitted, as a mate put a larger core in and lost 6psi from 22psi so there may be a small drop to expect too. oh yeah he used a supra core so it was semi quality!!

  4. anyone have problems with the signal to the tacho? i've wired it up correctly but get no responce from the ECU?? when i turn on the power the needle goes to 0rpm but when the engine is running the rpm sits at 3000rpm and just stays there???
  5. Bingo.. thats the thing that stopped my stoplights from working all i did was adjust it and they worked fine, hope this is the case for the 33's??
  6. with the 33's is there a "sensor" at the peddle, at the back of the stop peddle there my be a thing that when you stop, pressing the peddle depresses this button which sents the signal to the lights to get them to work, it may be the problem, if its there adjust it ?? then again if the 33's don't have this thing then its something else!!
  7. look for a place called GREEN AIR, theres a bloke there who wired up my rb20det to my r30, it cost me $1000 though, went to a bunch of car sparkies in southport and they all did't want to know about it, told me to talk to this bloke! look in the r31 skyline club for more help first
  8. i've had to take my car to three different places here on the coast so far, going to the second last place this weekend for all piping then to the engineer, most places i'll look into here either charge a fortune or don't have a glue?? good to get another R30 fan in this corner of OZ!! P.S. if you everwant to put a turbo on the l24e i have a l20et turbo/manifold ECU and full 2 1/2" zorst just sitting here! should be good for bolt on 6-8??psi !!
  9. i remember reading ages ago about how hard it was to find the fj24, this was in a fast fours and rotor mag something like 9-10 years ago!! very sort after let along a factory fj24! any price for the locals?
  10. don't know about "expert" Ghostrider, but i do know of two blokes here on the coast that could help you 84skyline, this is the bloke who fitted the engine for me his name is nick and he's on the gold coast hwy, labrador just past harbour town, he's an old russian bloke who will tell you how long the part has to live before just replacing it!! his number is (5563 7012) just say matt said to call you! hes worked on both my r30s' and the r31 as well.
  11. just trying to get help installing a sports comp sliver tacho to work with a rb20det? i've wired it all up to a point where the signal from the ECU is the problem!! when ignition is on the tacho will read 3000rpm and not move, if i unhook the ecu tacho wire the tacho will return to 0rpm?? i've followed all the instructions to the letter and can't seem to figure it out?? P.S.. i've read the other threads relating to this and still no help so if anyone has installed this tacho with a rb20det let me know if you've hadf the same problem!! Cheer....Matt.
  12. in all aspects of legals there will be a set of 205/60/15 on the car at that time then to be changed to the rs8s' once legally on the road!!
  13. i've just put 225/50/15 tryes on the rear of my car and that has lowered it by 10mm 205/55/15 at the front which lowered it by7-8mm! it all adds up
  14. but it goes so well with the PRo comp extra lite boost, oil and water temp gauges i put in at the same time!! P.s. i've had to replace the instrument cluster with the one from the mr30 as the other one was rooted, the spring for the speedo was all twisted and beyond help, swapped it for the mr30 which also went to 200km not 180km. plus later i will use a piVoT speed meter!
  15. has anyone put in a autometer tahco in before? its just i'm having trouble getting a signal from the rb20 ECU, i've wired it up correctly but when the ecu tacho wire is connected,regaurdless of engine rpm, the tacho will go to 3000rpm and stay there. i've been told that the rb20 ecu signal is 8volts and the tacho requires 12volt but looking for advice from someone who has put one in themselves!! cheers... matt..

  17. so you've just put r32 rotors onto a s13 front, i think the only thing to think of is the calliper mounts and the rims you'll be running!
  18. i've just put in a autometer 5" tacho and seem to have the same problem its ither there not enough power going to the tacho or i've cut the wrong wire on the tacho or there is no tacho pulse from the ecu ?? what it does is just sit on 3000 rpm and not move, when i remove the wire from the ecu it goes back to zero, the instructions said to cut the brown wire loop which i did???? any ideas
  19. i think what you'll find is that all the sterring components are interchangeable, i know hr and mr, with the dr the only thing i think would be different is the location of the power sterring resivour
  20. most things are easy to fit unless you blow something up, you've got to remember they are all 20 or over in years now so there are the common things to look out for like rust underneath parts wear and so forth! if you've read all the posts then you can see there is alot of info that can be helpful and the prospect of engine swap?? with the lights, i used my r31 to test the headlights for the r30 so the bulbs seem to be interchangable
  21. is it a autometer booster or could you get something from a auto sparky?

  23. what car are they going into?? also the callipars on ebay are the right callipars for gts-t rotors what the thing is is getting them to fit the car you've got and the process involved!!
  24. don't you just love how that sounds (so that the wheels can clear the 4 spot callipar). i'll be engineering it as basic as possible, won't even change the exhaust as there are no holes!
  25. dont quote me on this but the callipars look to me like r31 series3 fronts not r32s'
